I got a deal on my motor so that aside I'll probably have $500-1000 invested that you wouldn't have spent on building up a an LT or LS car. But $ for $ you can build an SBC and BBC for about the same price.
I think the main thing people fail to realize is that when putting a stonger motor in a 4th Gen Camaro wheter it be SBC or BBC is you still have to upgrade the trans, rearend, suspension, etc. Most of the thinks I"ve changed out I would have changed if I'd a built my LT-1 up. Probably the only extra cost I've incurred so far would be the gauges.

I think someone has a decimal point out of place!!!! At least I hope. I would hate to think I had $180K in this thing and now about to only get $35K!!! OMG!!
Yesterday, I saw a house listed for $91,000,000!!!!!!!!

Heres a link that shows where I'm at. I've just got to do a little piecing together aroung the motor and then start on the rear end and suspension.

It wasn't that diificult. I made my mounts on the K-member while the motor was on the engine stand. Then I put the motor in thru the bottom. I did my cutting of the cowl after I had everything in place.
