29 degrees outside, stock tires... pretty much tune only:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJgvx8XzZc8
in warmer weather, it'll launch harder.. it'll get me in the 12s
I was hoping to have some more stuff on the car by the weekend and relog the car for some fine tuning, but seeing as how its Wednesday and my stuff STILL hasn't shipped, not looking good, lol... I emailed them today and they told me they'd "check on my order"... that was about 2:00, still haven't heard anything back... parts aren't even on backorder or anything so its kind of pissing me off

His number is 256 882 2450. Very legit fella if u have any doubts bout him make a trip to his house / machine shop / motor Dyno / engine Dyno / personal cars / and any thing else u could think of

I trust my guy pretty well, when STS put their 1st turbo on a SBC... they trusted Vince with their services.. he also STILL has more tables unlocked on the 5th Gen Camaros ECM of the engine and TCM of the 6L80E than SCT, Diablo, Hptuners, any tuning method you want to use
weather warmed up a LITTLE last night(about 40 degrees), still can't get a "decent" launch in, but 110 in 13.1 seconds on the stock tires on an unprepped surface IN 40 degree weather... not too shaby for tune only:

Texas Speed finally decided to withdraw my money from my account......parts STILL haven't shipped, wtf....

if its a street car/daily driver, these are two of the most popular LS1 cams, have been for years:
http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1146-te...-camshaft.aspx
http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1148-te...-camshaft.aspx
the 224R is good for about 40whp, the more aggressive 228R is good for about 50whp... but neither are erratic, with a 112 LSA you'll still have a car that can easily be daily driven and get a decent gain as well

Alabama Internation is right outside of B-ham in Steele, Alabama(everyone just calls the track "Steele" for the most part), its one of two 1/4 mile tracks in the state, with the other being in Montgomery
its pretty fun in the summer on Friday nights... basically sanctioned street racing and usually a nice turnout if the weather is nice... no matter how fast you think your car is, you can probably find someone to run there... from mild to wild, 17 second Hondas to low 9 seconds with power everything
they also do test and tune on Sundays which is more popular for the people with actual drag cars, as Friday seems to be more for street cars
they have their Series races(Pro, Footbrake, etc.) on Saturday and will occasionally have a big race on the whole weekend(which cancels their normal schedule)

Steele appears closed for the time being. MMP is still open for test and tune on Sundays. Friday at Steele can be a blast or a total nightmare. Sundays at Steele are triple the price but the track stays in better shape since there are much fewer cars as well as the majority being on slicks/drag radials.

yeah Steele won't open until March I think(maybe the end of February), and yeah, its $25 on Sundays compared to $10 on Friday nights
and as you said a SINGLE layer of VHT goes down on Friday night, so get your car lined up early and make a solid pass the 1st time, after that, its over
that is what sucked about taking my car there, it was my 1st time EVER having the car on the track, so I didn't really know how to launch it the 1st time when the track was good, didn't launch it hard enough and it had a lot more in it coming off the line, still ran my fastest E.T. on the night, lol... I think with practice and on a well prepped track, I could have got a 13.0 at worst a 13.1 out of it... after the 1st run, I ran a couple 13.3s before the track went to crap and then 13.40s, after I let the car cool off I did manage another 13.40s with a passenger toward the end of the night.... but I didn't feel bad, the tuned 5.0 ran a 12.78 his 1st pass and didn't get back in the 12s the rest of the night, lol.. I trapped higher the rest of the night, just couldn't get off the line because of the cold air(late October) and no VHT
next time, though I'll probably have the mids and cai on(and of course the tune), i'm hoping to run 12.6-12.8s @ 110 or so
mids are supposed to be around 20whp(one of the great things about having two big *** VERY Environmentally friendly cats on the exhaust, when you ditch them for JBA or Solo High flows you get awesome gains and a nice weight reduction, lol) and the tune is another 10-15whp(plus the 6L80e TCM tune which is the big gainer)
if I could run 12.70s without headers, i'd be pretty happy
