Default Heading out to Paradise Dragstrip in Calhoun for some track time? ... post here.

I thought I would start a thread that those of us who are interested in getting some track time in with other members could subscribe to. This will be a thread specifically for Paradise Dragstrip in Calhoun, GA and I thought I would create a seperate thread for each of the other tracks around North GA.

Yesterday was absolutley perfect weather, but we had trailer issues. The weekend before last, I got her loaded to head up to Paradise, but realized the door wouldn't open over the trailer fender after installing the front DA's.

So this past Saturday, I had the fender cut off and had it fabricated to be removable. The door opened fine, but I had no trailer lights ... no running lights, stop lights or turn signals. After several blown fuses in the Hummer and bulbs on the trailer, the wife and I spent most of the day yesterday tracking the problem down to a melted wire in a wire tube behind the frame rail caused by using a torch to cut one of the fender welds. Not the fabricators fault ... just one of those things.

Weather pending ... we will be there this Sunday.

Weather was great. My camaro ran 1/10 quicker than its ever been, so I was happy.

My buddy was at LS Fest and the weather was so different from Fri to Sat. He went 11.83 @115 Friday night. Went 11.50 @ 119 Saturday afternoon

Yep, big difference. I use Drag Times DA Calculator to compare my times to the DA on a given day ... sadly, Paradise is not one of the tracks listed.

To date, I have only been able to run her in 2500 DA's. I would have loved to see the affects of my DA fronts and better air on my ET's. It will just have to wait another week.

As of now, the forecast is 30% chance of isolated thunder storms with 80H/61L for Calhoun.
