What? Does that make any sense?
On mine under the hood latch or the hold down there is a cheaply engraved ss number.

A person on here with an camaro SS is selling an SS hood, I just want to make sure if I meet someone and can't actually throw the hood on the car, that I can look for some part number or something and be absolutely sure that its a factory original.
So behind the hood latch I can just look for the part # you listed and I will know for sure?

I have a original GM still in the box. The sticker on the box says pick weight is 80 lbs. I'am guessing the box weights around 10 lbs. So if you weight it, a GM hood would be around 70 lbs. Hope this helps - don't know any other way except to compare two side-by-side.
