Thumbs up Evans Water pump GP

Evans Cooling Systems Inc has just released a new highflow LS1-6 water pump. The billet coolant pump and pulley flows over 20% more than stock and changes the cooling pattern for a more even cooling. The pump increases cooling efficiency in modified LS1 Corvettes, Camano’s and LS1 based motors. Evans has changed the design of the OEM pump casting and includes a billet pulley hub and heavy duty 3/4" shat bearing assembly. It also includes a 3.8" OD 8 vane scrolled impeller to reduce parasitic horsepower loss at high RPM. A new serpentine belt is required.

So what makes this worth the extra money compared to the Meziere water pump?

It cools Way better than the other pump. Ask Meziere there pump flows about 20% less than stock(for race use only not intended to keep a street car cool) Evans pump flows 20% more than stock with improved flow around the cylinders where the stock one lacks. Helps in keeping control of the heat created by high HP.

I'm one of the batch of 6 that was discussed today ...N8, little confused on the $125 core for the used casting... that would make it $465 for the used w/out a core or $395 for new without a core...
am i missing something?

If you have the ability to send in your water pump (core) to be machined - then you're actually saving $55 at $340.

If you can't do that and need to buy the pump outright then it's $395

Nate explained that it is the same machining procedure to either casting (the Evans casting is identical to the stock casting) They just offer a version with a new casting for those who can't afford to be without their WP for a while.

Quik has it right. That and some with all out motors don`t want to reuse the old housing.

I think I have enough for this to go through. I just need everyone interested to call with the order. And I can get it rolling.

Another note the Evans T-stat is requiered for the extra flow of the new pump. The stock t-stat does not flow enough. $49.95 with purchase.

Thanks for the orders Nate

No still out at the coaters. It is a little rough with the casting but looks shinny like a Jethot coated header.
