ive been wondering this for a while...i bet it would be more like 15+ pounds as well...at least a titanium cat back would be nice, my corsa was about 700 bucks anyway's, 300 more i could def pull easily

Whoops, I was thinking the -8 lbs for the LTs alone. But add in the cat back, simple one like you mentioned and yeah I can easily see a nice weight savings. Anyone interested in making this or what????

Those are comparing the Corsa Ti to the stock aluminized or stock Ti right? Nice savings. Now I guess we need to contract Corsa to get off their asses and make this for the F body! Looking at the Y body routing it would cost way to much to "adapt" to the F Bodies. And like JS suggested, making a TD>X pipe>Ti bullets, or like Borla Ovals into dumps seems easy enough.

yep, instead of paying 300k for a lambo, i paid 15k for my camaro, so i figure i can buy about 285 exhaust systems, lol...buying a lambo, now that imo is a waste of money
o, and i asked corsa about this (paul santiago), like a year and a half ago at gm carlisle, or maybe it was 2.5 years ago...but thats besides the point...he said he doesnt think there would be enough market for it, but im praying either them or someone changes their mind and makes the system...people pay 400 dollars for a k member that saves what, 20-30 pounds...so ill pay an extra 3-400 bucks for an exhaust system that saves 30 pounds

Very true but, with a K-memberyou are also shifting the weight bias more towards the rear of the car.

Halltech's Ti system never went anywhere. It didn't help that they weren't long tubes. Ti may have some thermal problems, and of course it's crazy expensive, and not just for the material, but for the labor fees people will charge to make them. Something I would accept instead is something like this:
I'm not really sure what Inconel is, or how 0.035 & 0.028 compares to anything else, but I know 7 1/2 lbs is light as hell, or at least compared to the long tubes I have listed in this thread:

Intended for RSX cars, this prototype is constructed from .035 and .028 inconel, to demonstrate the exceptional durability and other notable advantages of a very low mass header system ( 7 1/2 lbs complete ).
