Default Projected availability of 85mm throttle bodies announced.

We just received official notification that our initial shipment of 85mm throttle bodies will leave Asia on December 25th. Yes, I know that's Christmas but that isn't a holiday in China.

It can take three to four weeks to get to our facility and then figure another week or so by the time we ship them to our warehouses and they get them to the retailers. So realistically, they should be available to buy over the counter (or by mail) by around February 1st.

I know that a number of you have been waiting for these. They will bolt directly to your LS1 or LS6 manifold and of course they fit our 85mm inlet intake manifold as well. They come with an adapter plate that funnels the 85mm bore size down to your stock inlet diameter.

Have you guys not read the PP threads about their products, or heard of their history on other brand vehicles?
It's pretty obvious on 2 of the answers:

- Made by PP's contractor, and it's business. So it's a PP product and that's what answer we'll get. That's how it works.

- Nobody said there's an advantage over the 90/90, so not sure why you asked as if there is one . But if I had to guess, I'd say it's an affordable alternative. Based upon how PP's history, it won't be better performing than the FAST, but better than stock, and more affordable than FAST.

I had a BBK 80mm throttle body that uses one of them adapter/spacer things and i didnt like the extra tension it put on my throttle cable and really bad on my cruse control sense i dont have TCS

So unless u got their actual intake manifold that the adapter isn’t needed might be worth it?

Unless the adapter just makes a mess but that’s just my 2 cents

Most likely made in China, like everything else and it will be cheaper than FAST.

isn't it defeating the purpose by having a adaptor that will funnel down to fit stock intake (LS6). dont uderstand the benifits of that. I'm sure it would be great on same opening but, to funnel down. please explain.
