Default Raced a cop last night

For his own good, i wont post his name or color of his car, but i will tell you it was a Mustang GT on nitrous. He came up next to me on the highway, and my passenger told me it was an off-duty cop. I said screw it, and three honked it. We did a 60 roll and he only got me by about 1 1/2 cars. Not bad for what is supposed to be a bolt-on GT with a 150+ shot of juice.

Do you mean you were already rolling at 60 mph? If so you should have double-clutched it into 2nd gear; any higher gears than that and you would be leaving half your power on the table (assuming you have the stock 3.42 rear end ratio.) 2nd gear @ 60 mph with 3.42's = 4769 rpm.

Venkman, at least if he'd been driving a Bullitt with juice you can be sure you would've killed him .

We were driving home on I-10 from SAR when this happened. I was right behind them, pacing a black Mustang who seemed to be with the cop. I didn't take part, just observed. Had I known he was a cop, I would have opened my bottle and blew his doors off.

stomped by a mustang
Bullitt: shut up. You weren't even at the track. First part about having anyone take anything you say seriously is to show up. Venkman and I will most likely be at the next Wednesday event and you are welcome to come out and show us what you've got.

Shouldnt you be a bit faster with that kind of rear wheel hp? Not trying to be a dick it just seems a bit slow for those kind of numbers

Yeah, that g-tech run was done on stock tire, spinning through 1st and 2md gear. If i could pull under a friggin 2 second 60' foot, it'd be a 12 second car easy.
