I agree to a certain point (if it was a DD car) I really didn't have a choice at the time because there wasn't dick to choose from. Every M6 avail at the time was a pile. For the price and mileage I got mine for I couldn't pass it up. Not too often you find the original owner and it stored in a barn never seeing rain.

I get sick of everyone regarding racing. The people who think roll racing is so gay because they get traction in their 14 second mullet ride and the people who think roll racing is the only way because they didn't invest the $ to properly setup their car. My car isn't properly setup to run from a stop, but I don't use it as an excuse. The guy with a 12 bolt, 4.10s, and drag radials deserves to have his launch advantage. There's more to going fast than just horsepower.

Yeah theyr good on the strip for sure. But 115 sideways and the auto deciding it wants to shift is NOT cool lol. That was my 1991 camaro, i thought i was a dead man. ended up letting off, ripping the wheel out , then back in, and stomping it and had slowed enought to kick down again, seriously freaky. I now have a 1993 m6 TA and love evry minut of sure footed 100 plus mph drifting. Lots of curvey roads here in colorado springs. And the pass up the mountains to woodland park is a little peace of heaven......with guardrails.....and cliffs. haha

well....i have owned a..
-98 camaro
-2004 vette
-99 viper
-2003 viper
and currently have a 1991 nsx with a paxton
The nsx is the most exotic of them all..With th viper just a little behind..
Their are only 9000 nsx's in the us..2000 of them have been permamently wrecked between 1991-2005..So really their are only 7000 in the US...And they are not making them any more
I contrast a Viper ( wich is also a very rare vehicle has 25,000 in the US) and they are still making them..
So whereto begin...Besides being extremely rare and a actual Japanese exotic as well as the most expensive Japanese supercar ever produced at 90K american..
The car was desighned from the ground up by a famous auto racer named Sienna Artenya ( I think Im misspelling the last name. But this guy was so famous in the racing world that when the nsx made it's public debute every reporter in Japan was their and it was telivised with Senna giving word by word on how and why he desighned the car..
As far as raw speed goes..Well a 1991 nsx only had 270 HP..But remember that at only 29xx pounds and a 4.06 rear gear as well as a 8K rpm redline the car was lightning fast in it's day running a 13.6 at 105 mph in it's magazine test...Not fast by todays standards but when a 1992 Viper was running 12.9 at 111 or a 1991 ZR1 vette was running 13.2 at 108..Well the NSX's 13.6 at 105 mph was VERY SUPERCAR back in 1991...
In 1997 the nsx got a more powerful engine bumping her up to 290 HP...Still dosent seem great???Well remember that in 1997 Th C5 vette was introduced with 345 HP...In head to head test the 1997 ns was a tad bit quicker to 150 mph than the C5...They both ran nearly identical 13.3's at 108 mph..
Then in 2002 the nsx had a redesighn..Yet they kept the engine the same and only chnged the exterior slightly with non pop up lights..How different is a 2002-2005 nsx from a 1991-2001 nsx..
Well lets just say that I can park my 91 nsx next to my buddies 05 nsx and the interior is 99% the same..The controls are all the same...The body is 90% the same...
But back to them not touching the engine in the 2002's..While Japan only eported 290 HP for the 2002-2005 nsx..The track told a differant story..Were a 270 HP 1991 nsx could run a 13.6 at 105..And a 290 HP 1997 nsx could run a 13.3 at 108...The 2002-2005 nsx ran a 12.9 at 111 mph in a motor trend test..
Still not impressed yet..neighter am I...Both of my Vipers could have ran 12.9 at 111 mph with a retarded monkey driving...But thats not even wht the nsx is about..
How about a body that looks low and long like the supercars you remeber from the 90's..How about a engine that you can see through the rear glass...And then what the nsx is about..
THE HANDLING...I was a firm beleaver that nsx's wernt worth the money...Then my buddy bought a 2005 nsx and let me drive it....Man talk about gokart like...talk about doing 90 on the freeway and with one flip of the wrist doing a quick lane change and never feeling like you had anything to worry about( could never do that in the vette or vipers) like I was saying..That engine is in the back under the rear glass about 2 feet behind you...You here every humm..And not only that but since the engines back their then their is next to NO WEIGHT on the front half of the car were most engines are...
No test review is gonna explain how that feels when your driving..But light as a feather and goKart like comes to mind....As a matter of fact I thought the handling was so awesome that I went out and bought one ...
then theirs the interior...My camaro interior was horrible..my vette interior was decent..My 99 Viper interior was decent...My 2003 Viper interior was pretty good..
A nsx interior is the closest us mere mortals who dont have 200K lying around will get to an Italion interior..Yourtalking leatherand suead on every nch of the car as well as nice stitching here and their...Of course no lambo interior..but a lot closer than the before mentioned cars....
With all that said I have raced my 2004 vette against my friends 2005 nsx and from 70-120 mph he beat me...
I raced my 99 Viper against his 2005 nsx from 70-140 mph and the viper pulled by 3 cars
He raced his 2005 nsx against a 2001 LS1 camaro several times and pulled it by 4 cars from 70-140 mph
They are faster than you think but nonthing to special in speed...But go drive one for a few days..look at peoples reactions to your 90K car ( even though you may have only paid 35K for a 1991 like I did..They dont know that they all look pretty much the same) watch japanese girls get giggly as they see you pass inthe equivalent of a ferrari in their home country ( lots of Japanese tourist in hawaii) watch peoples minds blow away when they see the egine under the rear glass...Then go hit a twistie road and feel like a race car driver desighned the car from the ground up ( because one did)...Then go to a stop light and rev her up and take off and notice how their was no wheel spin what so ever..having the engine sitting directly over the rear wheels will do that for ya..Then dont shift till 8K rpm
Now I could equally write an awesome review about my 2003 Viper...It is a bad *** car as well..especially for raw speed..A bone stock 500 HP Viper just like my 2003 ran a 11.57 at 122.5 mph on the stock tires a week ago setting a new record..that in it's self would deserve a review
