Wow let me just say I got smoked by a E55 AMG on the high way by my buddys new ride. I hammered it at 50mph in 2nd gear in my 2000 SS Camaro 6 speed and that thing just took off I gave up. What do I need to take out a 2003-2006 E55 AMG with a pulley and tune. my ss is stock.

E55 AMG's are fast. I remember years ago in Car and Driver where the E55 beat the ZO6 in 1/4 mile and trapspeed. I bet bolt-ons and a 100 shot of nitrous would do the trick.

They are definately low 12 second cars and I bet your friend's is a bit faster...

Roll racing from 50mph was your end.. get that bastard from a dig and smoke his ***. Never roll race a european or import, standard solid axle, american racing lol.

What size shot will a 100 dry shot do the trick?

I estimated a 100 shot would do the trick but you might need more given the fact that he is modified. Race him at a Dragstrip and see what he runs then post the results up here. We will definately be able to tell you based off of his times what you will need.

Definitely quick cars, but I hear that the w211 e-class isn't too reliable...

Good death" the benz makes 469 stock and traps around 113-115mph in the 1/4. Ran a couple in the vette and normally it's a drivers race.

Yeah man, the Fellas at AMG are deadly...

20 years ago I am heading to Ft. Myers in my VAN... It's around midnight, the road is empty and we're nearly flat out doing right at 100...

Up the road I see a Mercedes at the light and the cross street is lit on the amber; and I know I'm going to catch the light. It's a wide open interesection; meaning I can see whats coming on both sides for a 1/4 mile, so I stay in it...

I'm somewhere around an 1/8th off the light when the light goes green; and I see the rear-end hunker down; a little puff of smoke and I'm thinkin'... "Oh isn't that cute, he's wants to run'... whereupon I put what was left in it... which wasn't much; the Van was good for around 110...

I never got close enough to read his tag... I doubt I got within 150' of him...

I couldn't believe it... 'dat boi whuh GONE!' All I knew was it was a Mercedes Sedan and it was some kind of FAST!

So, a week or so later I'm at the club and I'm tellin' the story of this monster Mercedes and a friend of a friend down the bar started laughin' and asked "was that you?"

Turned out that it was a 450SL AMG... which he said had received 'the special treatment'... He had owned it for several years and claimed that it was faster than the Ferrari he had recently bought.

Ever since then, the AMG badge has been given a fair amount of room...

Yes be leery of any MB with either "AMG" or "600" on the back. All of them are seriously fast!

Respectable death. The Vindicator and full bolt-ons should make it an interesting race.

If you just want to beat him either throw spray on that cam-only setup or just put a 150 shot on it with bolt-ons. Either will do the trick.
