Especially since that car rated at 14 flat in the quarter mile by MOST car magazines etc. So yeah. a .1 of a second isn't that hard to believe. Most stock SRT4s are rated in 14-14.1, but most people I know run them stock in the 13s.
do you have video and documented proof of this bone stock 2v running 13.6? most of them run 14's...

of course he doesn't, just like he has no proof of what his 2-valve will do. I swear this guy should have '2-Valve Mustang' tatoo'd on his back or something.

Calm down kids... we are talking about what the cars are CAPABLE of. Just like I know what LS1 Fbodies are capable of running. A good-running 5spd PI GT is a 13s capable car. Whether the person driving is capable of running it to its potential or the conditions allow it is another thing.

I'm going to need to see proof of that. A 2v running 11's with bolt-ons hardly sounds believable, even with all weight possible stripped from it.

And I guarantee you, none of the people in this thread that own Mustangs joined this site for that reason. When I joined this site I had a Nissan Frontier and a Suzuki SV650. So there is no "Mustang defending" going on... it's the defense of common sense.

The bolt-on 2-valve record is 11.9 @ xxx (not sure on the mph, if someone could clarify please chime in). Although it is very hard to believe considering 95% of the stroked and/or bored, heads/cam, full suspension, 4.30/4.56 geared, weight reduction, slicks/skinnies cars run about the same e.t. But I guess you always have that "one" driver. lol

I do agree. Bit touchy here. lol Funny it's nothing like that over at my favorite mustang site, MustangForums.

No one joins to do that. I still don't understand why so many fbody owners come in here JUST TO BASH mustangs. 90% of the time they haven't a clue what they are talking about.

Nope, and frankly I don't really care if you believe me. Most Fbodies run 14s too.

I've posted the guy's link before on moddedmustangs. He has more than just "bolt-ons" But it's completely N/A. And it's an auto. Don't know of many Fbodies in the 11s with just bolt-ons either...

Again, I don't care if you don't believe me.

It's a cake walk for LS1's to hit 11's with bolt-ons. And the bolt-on record for an LT1 is 11.5. Granted, that's with a 2800-2900 lb race weight though.

So if you have an issue with the F-body guys on Tech why are you here then? Seriously, the guys over at MF or SVTP would probably treat you the same way. Just chill out and take it easy.

Then that just isn't bolt-ons.

Actually there are only a few that act this way. The majority of the people here are decent honest people that have a love for fast cars, no matter WHO makes them.

Uh... no. I'm a long time poster at many Mustang boards. We actually make fun of the fanboyisms. Regardless of what car you drive.

I don't have any emotional attachment to my car, or Ford for that matter. Anytime accept once, when someone posted a kill on a Mustang, even though the race was .. questionable.. I said congrats anyhow.

That 12 second rule you guys have about those not in the 12s can't talk ****? Not too long ago a few of your more prominate memebers claimed I should be the exception.

Again, for the most part, I am being treated well in here. In every forum you go to there are going to be internet-thugs.

According to the bolt-on rules it's a bolt-on car. As long as it's got a stock bottom end, stock heads, stock intake manifold, and stock cam, it's considered a bolt-on car.

Where are these rules listed? I'd like to post them in the Mustang board too. As there are discussions going on as to what it "fully bolton" and what is a bit more than that.

Because what you quoted that I said actually makes sense?

I must have missed that part somewhere.
