I seen a charger rt going down the road so i caught up to him and he got beside me and as i started to downshift ( was only going about 30) i got into second and was about to go to 1st and he took off.

So i just step on the gas even though i was at the bottom of second, he jumped out about a car at first then i stopped his pull and then we hit traffic and both let out. We hit the light and i revved it up and he just sat there. So on green i took off and he just sat there, so i guess i lost even though he took off before i was ready.

Has that happen to any of you someone takes off before you ready and then when your line up even and fair they wont race you anymore?

a buddy of mine has a stock 07 charger rt, and he always talks big game.. saying he has 340 horsepower and whatnot lol

anyway i always wanted to run him from a dig but he would never agree to it. one time we were just side by side heading to mcdonalds, cruisin at about 45. it was pretty late so there werent any other cars around, and he just gunned it. luckily i was in 2nd hoping he was gonna go, and proceeded to stop his pull pretty quick and get a couple cars on him up to 100 or so.

Im pretty sure from a dig i would destroy him

But yeah it sucks that you were in the wrong gear, from 1st you would have gone by him pretty quick im guessing

Im sure i would of i raced one with an intake,gears and tune and inched away from him, and it would of been even worse from a dig. I can launch my car very well then again how hard can it be with a 300 horsepower engine.lol

Lol@his 340hp! Next time he brags about having 340Bhp tell him that he'd be lucky to have 285Whp! Also tell his how sad it is to have a 340bhp car that BARELY brakes 6 seconds to 60!

yeah he doesnt understand the whole "wheel" horsepower thing. When i told him that there is usually a 10-15% power loss through the drivetrain he actually had the nerve to say "thats probably just because your car is old, my car definitely makes 340 horsepower, look up the specs man."

but i guess thats what happens when daddy buys a kid a brand new car. Hes also one of those guys that thinks that adding a CAI will get him 20-30 hp

maybe he will finally agree to legitimately race me once hes making 370 horse lol

he would have to have some pretty good mods to get 340whp on an R/T. however, i have personally seen a very lightly modded R/T putting 318 to the wheels without a tune. Dynoed at Pro-Motion Tuning for a dyno day.
