Well first, good kill OP. We all know how well lsx motors run and what they are capable of, but just a little advice, dont be knocking another type of motors that you have no idea about and what they are capable of. 302's and 351's are very very cheap to build. Oh and fyi, my little n/a 4.6 with a lot less money in mine is running the exact same times as you with a slipping clutch. thanks an im not callin this one a kill, im just stating what happened, and i have a lot of respect for the 5.0 and 351's, my cousin had a nice 5.0 that was a lot of fun to drive, i dont know what it ran but it was fun.

im not gona give u a excuse at all, ill shake your hand and tell you thats a nice car you got there, an im also the kinda guy thats when its said an done and you need some help workin on it, you can call me and ill do what i can to come help because i can appreciate the work that goes into makin a fast car. and then when i do another mod to my car ill call you up an we'll see what happens.

You have come a long way since the first post in this thread.Like I said either you aren't a true track racer or you are simply an *******. I'm not going to let anyone at the track hang their head low in shame because of a bad run. I've helped more people than I can count in the staging lanes with their runs. It gives you a much better feeling knowing you are making someone's night better and them a better driver rather than holding back laughing at them and letting them walk away embarrassed. But hey, thats just me.
i never said the guy didnt have a nice stang, in fact i think i said it was a nice stang and i also said if he knew how to drive it he would have beaten me good, and i might have helped him to if he would have given me the chance or my buddy didnt brake the stupid plastic piece between the clutch pedal and master cylinder on his gto that we spent most of the night workin on. and the fact the guy had supercharger and dr's and how he said it did surprise me, i think anybody that just ran a supercharged mustang like that would have felt pretty good about it. and yea maybe the title was a lil harsh and got some ppl's panties in a wad, **** happens, but mustangs just aint my thing and never will be, there good lookin cars and ill leave it at that. you can ask anybody that really knows me, ill be the first person to tell you that its a nice car and ask about it and take it as a learning experience for the next race. if you got somethin to teach me im willin to learn but im a hardcore gm guy an always will be.

yea i see what you did there, but i still stand by my statement earlier when i said you can take a mustang and a ls car and do the same mods to both and the ls car wins hands down. mustangs can be made fast but against a similarly modded ls car there no match, sorry.... case and point my car with a shitty tune and 245 street tires vs a supercharged mustang gt with dr and only runnin .3 sec faster, come on now somethin's wrong there

I think its funny how people are acting about how times are what counts. A race is a race. I saw the race, and yes the mustang was trying to race him, not doing his own thing. The op whooped on him, and to poor salt on the wound, the mustang owner found out he couldnt catch up to a n/a ls1 with his supercharged 4.6. Yea looking at the times if the mustang owner could get off the line quicker it would be a different story. But who cares.

So if the mod to mod thing is an issue or its not fair to say that mod for mod ls1's respond better because of cubic inch differences. Than is it not stupid to be dissappointed when your 281 cubic in. motor loses to a 346 cubic in. motor with not much done to it? Because even though you have a supercharger your really only making up for the difference in cubic inches. Your only making it more fair of a race with a stock ls1. If the ls1 has work done to it your still gonna have a gap in performance.... So nobody should be trying anything with a cubic inch issue.

im not a noob owner, yea i just bought this car 2 weeks ago but before that i had a 5.3 silverado and iv been buildin hot rods with my dad since i could walk, i know exactly what it takes to go fast iv been doin it all my life. its also funny to me that ford had to put out 50 different mustangs to make a couple that can keep up.

its simple supply and demand. ford builds various mustangs because they are smart and build a vehicle which will hit every target demographic. very few if any performance cars are on these forums. GM doesnt make money off us.
its the girl wanting a car to drive to the beach.
the dad buying his son his first car to drive to school for college.
the kid buying a vehicle to mod.
the old man buying a car with a name which reminds him of his youth.
the club racer.
the forum junkie.
etc.
they all need different and various cars to meet their needs AND to meet a nice profit margin on. Thats what ford has learned and why the mustang sold in ways 2-4th gen camaros only wish they were able to. I have never seen or heard of ford crying saying that they couldnt sell those 70k KR500's. or having a hard time selling v6 auto verts.
GM picked up on this trend with the 5th gen and now they have this car coming out in various trims to get every dime they can. the v6, the transformer, the v8, the black rock, etc.....
take a step back and look at the entire auto motive world, both domestic and foreign and learn something about how to market and sell a vehicle.

hey im the biggest lsx fan. hence why i bought my V. but im not ignorant to the facts. i mean 2 years ago there was no camaro. so its hard to knock ford when they have what is a wining recipe. and once the camaro came out they once again built a vehicle to compete with it and also compete in lots of various ways to other vehicles.
i remember like a few weeks back someone said the 5th gen is a failure because it hasnt lifted the front wheels at the drag stip. yet there are low 11 sec if not 10 sec prob full weight 5th gens running around out there. I also saw 5th gens/mustangs chasing down porsches on speed channel. how are those cars failures when they are selling very well?
just recently i read something about some mag comparing if someone should buy a 2011gt 6spd or a 2010 m3 coupe. I mean that is a huge thing to have a pony/muscle car even mentioned in the same breath as being that good of an all around car.
i just like fast cars. and people willing to put their build or purchases to work being a performer, better yet a great performance car.... which to me means doing everything thing well. but some times this forum has just straight garbage posted about vehicles out there.

Im simply trying to state that after seeing most of you bash the OP for making an uncalled for comment like useless stangs. So aside from the title, he was only talking about racing a supercharged 3v. Not some of your guys built 4v with nos and misc. other cars. This thread went way out of wack because some people are too sensitive. In my previous comment am I completely wrong to compare the two engines? Instead of looking at who makes the engine just look at the numbers. Take ford's 281 vs a 351 windsor. Who wins..... Thats what Im trying to point out. I care nothing of who makes the engine. Ill buy a Ford big block and put it in my 2002 camaro if the deal works out better than getting another ls1. It doesnt matter what your running, stop being an internet douchbag

Wow some of you mustang guys are so tempermental! First I get called out by a 630 rwhp cobra because I stated I have beaten s/c mustangs before. And now you come knocking. My car has a mild h/c setup why are you mustang guys so intiminated? I would love to race you and you can bring all the nitrous you need. I dont street race so we will have to run at a dragstrip. Prepare to be put in your place! Hodge9386 can say what he wants. He beat the mustang fair and square. Maybe you guys can go find that s/c mustang and teach him how to launch at the track! Hopefully they can help you after your lose to me!

My response was on the basis of 'mod for mod'...yadda yadda. that may be true for 2V's, but certainly not 3V or 4V. Gain for gain, mod for mod, a 3V/4V is near identical with a LS1/LT1. Where all bets are off, is once you crack open the long block. Call me an i-net douche all you want. The fact is, your post made no sense based on anyone that knows about modular stang motors that have more than 2V's. And no, I'm not talking about a built motor either.
