Default 2001 S4 V.S. 2009/2010 Camaro SS with Cam and boltons

Yesterday some friends of mine and I went on this huge cruise from Grand Rapids, MI, to Frankfurt MI, then around the west side of the upper lower penninsula to traverse city. The list of cars were a 99 RT/10 (I think ACR) Viper with boltons, a clean yellow 08 C6 LS3 Corvette with a tune (fastest non bolt on C6 I know around here), And a super clean straight-5-cylinder Audi S6 with a custom intake mani garret gt3071. I was driving my 01 Audi S4 with RS4-K04 turbos and RS6 center-sections I was running Meth E85 and some other goodies (currently running new 22psi file but 20.5psi dyno'd 444awhp/496awftlbs on Wheel2Wheels old mustang dyno now at ). So after all of that driving I ended up sleeping on the drive home, and let my buddy drive. All of a sudden I wake up to this loud *** small block sounding car going ripping by us with the Viper following close behind. I put my seat up from full recline mode and tell my buddy "go get 'em". We finally caught up to this beautiful white with orange Z-stripes 09-10 camaro with, what looked like to be either corsa or borla exhaust. after a few tries at good pulls (he couldn't hear our horn over his exhaust) we finally got one in. Starting at 65 we both hit it on his third honk and started pulling out. By the end of 4th gear in my car which is 130ish we had put a half a car to a car on him. By that point in time we were actually starting to pull harder as it seemed his car didn't have as much umph up top. Anyways I was extremely impressed with that car and asked him what he had done. to my amazement he said a cam and some bolt-ons. Not even headwork. So kudos to LS3 guys those things are mean.

The guy is a member on here, his username is canxlr8. he got off at the sparta exit, I think and the group of cars I was with and I all waved. Beautiful car, and sounded awesome. Good thing I didn't take the Firehawk that day because I wouldn't have had a chance haha.

Well to spur some activity I will post up dyno videos and results. btw I raced the viper earlier that day and from 60-120 I put 1.5 cars on him, by 140 he had caught up to my rear bumper and we were holding dead even (I have to have boost come in slowly in between shifts so that my rods are not injured from boost onset, which is why he gained every time I shifted)

For some reason it won't let me post my dyno sheet images from photobucket.. It ended up being 496ftlbs at 3650rpm and then tapered to 450ishawftbls. peak hp was at 6500rpm but it was at 400awhp at the same time peak torque was happening.

Yeah, thanks man. I love them too. A lot of car for all of the seasons. I'm glad my buddy got to do some running that day as well. It seemed like I was hogging all of the good races. lol

good kill I guess: you should PM the guy you ran and get him in here.

Reminds me of this S4 that I was playing with on the freeway: real close races with the best part being when a RS4 tried to jump into it after we flew by him. Ended up being he S4 racing the RS4 and whooping his *** good. musta ruined that guys day!

I PM'd the guy yesterday, he hasn't posted since 2005 so I think more than likely he won't be getting on... I don't understand why you don' t think it is a good kill. I have proven my point and documented well with dyno numbers and the video... Would you like other peoples accounts from the race? My friend with the C6 is a member on here as well.

Sticks N stones, let me educate you on the world of B5 S4, since you seem to be the doubting Thomas type. If it was close with you, it had to be a stock turbo car with some supporting mods.

http://www.jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/videos

As you can see by looking at the videos a well tuned stock turbo (K03) car. Can easily be put into the 12s with a good tune, intercoolers and driver. And with a heavy hitting tune on a K04 car (not exactly the same turbos as I have but similar) you can tap into the low 11s. I hope this helps..

Just wait until the new Gt 2860 hta center section turbos hit the scene. its gonna be a big splash this summer for Audi's! I'm excited. Thanks for checking out my kill. I'm going to be doing a tune and rear end on the firehawk this summer, are people liking their 4.10 or 3.73 better?

I own the C6, firechicken has a personal problem with pushrod smallblocks... a sickness I too once suffered

I don't think he was challenging the validity of your race by saying "I guess."
He might not have found it impressive though given the limited mods done to your opponent when compared to yourself.

Just a guess though (I don't share the same sentiment).

good kill, thats prob a very low 12 high 11 sec 5th gen you managed to beat. at least judging from what your car has done to it.

as someone who hits up H20 every year I can say I am a huge s4 fan.

I forgot why I threw that "I guess" in there: your mods and power level, I'm actually surprised you didnt pull him harder myself. Did you change the verbage in your post?
