just so you know the C5z06 is no where near 3300 pounds. they were 3130-3170 pounds depending on the year..

with a 1/4 tank of gas they routinely weigh in at the 30xx range..

These mustangs are crazy..look at the progression in just one week..
-13.0 stock at 110
-12.7 stock at 111
-12.6 stock at 112
-12.3 with slicks at 110
-11.8 with slicks and bolt ons at 118
-10.8 with slick bolt ons and 100 shot at 126

Any way you want to say it these things are nothing short of amazing..And for only 30K base...This is hard to beat

i read the 12.3 was on drag radials,not slicks

cant wait till we get some good videos of these cars..what i love about them is that within 6 months you will literally see 2-3 of them a day..

Im talking 2-3 bonafied stock 12 second cars a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly I see a few fbodies but many are LT1's and the stock LS1's are really mid 13 second cars..maybe borderline 13.3 cars..And I dont see many of them..Maybe 1 every day

We have this video of the LS1 Camaro winning against the 5.0l so all fbodys are faster ..see the point?

Well, I dont think I'm complaining like a little girl, I'm giving my opinion on this subject and I dont agree with you most of the time because I'm GM biased and you are Ford biased. I believe the video, but I suspect theres more weight reduction to it. I dont give a sh*t if its the case or no, just my .02

This is internet, do you think everybody in the world will just agree with all numbers, vids and reply you post?!?? I'll even tell you that usually, I agree with the things you say(I know you dont give a damn, just an exemple).

Actually i direct music videos for a living, and im also an A&R for a major record label. So actually i do. Not only was that video cheesy and predictable the song and lyrics are beginner, He sounds nervous and unsure in my opinion. Why would they play this video over the other 100,000 videos that major rappers make just like it? You are just as bad for posting it on LS1tech (A car forum). You wanted feedback, I gave it. Post it on Worldstar Hip Hop not a car forum. But if i were you i wouldn't do that because the comments will be harsh. thats just my .02

Also, a roots blower car has an excellant power range. The Torque curve is almost flat. A 600 WHP cobra will own a 500WHP LS1 unless he cant drive. A lot of 600 WHP Cobras are running 9s and 10s. As for the 2011 GT, it seems to be right on par with the 03/04 Cobras (maybe even a tad faster stock for stock).

I obviously know it can handle more power stock for stock. Were talking about a bulletproof forged 4 valve vs a maxed out at 500 hp 3 valve. I'm not that bad. What I was saying is that a supercharged 3 valve will respond better to mods, like more boost. A mustang mag did a test and the 3 valve with an identicle setup as a 4 valve made more power on the dyno. Both had the identicle roots blower and everything. The 3 valve has better heads for boost, even though it's a valve short. The 3 valve motors give better throttle response too and don't lag as much off the punch. I'm no mustang pro, but I'm just giving you what I read in the mag and online.

I don't see what the big deal is about these magazine times being quoted. lol That same guy (Evan Smith) took not one but two bone-stock down to the filter LS1 F-bodies to a 12.8's @ 108/09. Bone-stock LS1 F-bodies have ran 12.60's with nothing but drag radials as well. LS1 F-bodies (just like mine) have wen't 10's with bolt-ons and a 100-shot with minimal weight reduction. So the 2011 GT is a few ticks faster than the 1998 Camaros/Firebirds. Let's celebrate.

They may not be much faster, but they ARE faster than the LS1 F-bodys and look to be just as fast, if not a hair faster than the 5th gens. I think that's a big deal considering the base GT hasn't even been close in a LONG time.
