99% of those have B18's, K20's, or H22's though. I don't know of any B16's in the 12's and I've never personally seen one break out of the 14's.

My friend has a full weight B18 EG in the 13's on spray and a shop near me has a turbo B18 drag civic that's pretty damn quick (aiming for a few records this year), but those are the only quick FWD Hondas I've seen first hand.

I really do not see an n/a b16 running a mid 13 in a hatch. My friend had one in a crx, not gutted but significantly weight reduced with intake, clutch and full exhaust. The best he could ever manage with MANY trips to the track was a 14.9. B16s make nothing for torque and the only way you're going to hit mid 13's with no major power adders is to do a crvtec build with fully built head that's revving 10k+ rpms. The only n/a honda motor you'd ever need to worry about is a k20 or maybe an h22.

There are MANY single digit hondas here on the East Coast. If you put enough money into a car to go fast, it will. And i wouldn't sleep on a properly built honda, they will move out......than break and the process continues lol

My stock 152k mile Integra GS-R ran a 14.97... if you can't run better than that with a bolt-on/gutted B16 CRX, you need your license revoked.

Ya you can make a pinto run 10s if you have the money.

I still dont see the sence in doing some junkyard ebay turbo honda build. What a waste of money, If you just want it as a daily, hell a stock LS1 camaro will still be faster and be a better daily.

sujo your honda is JUNK

It's definitely a POS if the owner acts like a POS.

OP good kill even though the people you confide in watch to much fast and the furious. Here is some advise for next time.

1. Go to the bench racing section.
2. Collect USEFUL information.
3. Collect money from ricer.
4. Stay away from UTI.

Have fun racing him when his blah blah blah is "fixed".

With drag radials? Without drag radials I don't see it happening. That's a solid half second faster than those cars are supposed to run.

Edit: I'm finding type r integras running mid 14s to high 13s so I retract my previous statement. With a very good driver I suppose a high 14 would be possible.

The OBD-1 (94-95) GS-Rs were typically 15.1-15.3 cars, so I'm fully aware that my 14.97 @ 93.82mph is (as far as I can find) a record for a stock GS-R. But it was a great day. If it had been warmer than 42 degrees I probably would have gotten better than a 2.37 60' time, but I don't know if the car would have woken up as much on topend. For reference this was the same day/track that JamRWS6 ran his 12.99 @ 110mph in his '02 WS6 with just a whisper lid and SFCs, with a 2.15 60'.

Well calling somebody's project car that they've worked hard on a "POS" just because it isn't your cup of tea is pretty shitty, so... 2+2=4.

I was unsure of the year of the GSR and like the owner said it was a 94-95. Those cars are significantly faster than than the obd2 cars. An obd2 gsr is good for about a 15.4-15.6. So to run a 14.9 would be a HUGE difference. I'm aware there are stock f body cars in the 12's but how many stock ones are running a full half second faster than most others? Not to mention the fact that there seems to be many more inconsistencies in how some LS1 cars run compared to other LS1 cars than in Hondas. My point is, a factory freak Honda is far less common than a GM.
