I didn't say that at all.

But you're right, I'm sure a B16 is going to give you much more usable power than an SR20 or 4G63. I bet it's also more fun to daily drive too. There's nothing like that gutless low-end power feeling while driving around town.

And it's loads of fun driving and dumping thousands of dollars into a car that looks like a POS. Especially if it's just so I can surprise people, wowee.

Have fun spinning the **** out of your civic at the track. Let me know what you run...

I actually like Hondas, but people who care, brag, or use their small displacement as an excuse tend to be annoying.

It's all good, I just don't see the point of the displacement argument.
It's impressive to make more power with less displacement, but why bother when you can opt for more unless it's just to brag. I just don't see the sense in that.

Good luck with your EM1 (< I think that's what it's called).

Like I said if you can read; ugly shitbox and worst sound ever IMO. But as an ex-integra driver, you must find em cute and good-sounding. Like I said, to each his own.

There is a 13sec vid posted too FYI.

If you are drag-racing your car competitively, who the hell cares what it looks/sounds like? I think Pintos/Vegas/Pacers/Gremlins are some of the ugliest cars ever made, but people drag race those because they are light. Granted they have the V8 sound, but again... who cares? And yes I did own an Integra... sold it 7 years ago. You don't have to preach to me about the benefits of having a RWD/V8 car.

IMO theres always a better way to do things, but it all comes to taste and budget.

I'm not trying to preach anything, just throwing my 02.

I've been in south fl for a while and I can not stand all this import fanboys crapp. I hate it so much when I see a white kid(no offence) driving and bragging about his import pile of trash. c'mon u gays are american. buy american. As an imigrant myself I can appreciate that.

Again, people buy what they like. If there were a "best car" in every category, nobody would buy anything different from anyone else.

I'm going to buy whatever I'm interested in, regardless of where it's made.
If I ever want a tiny FR convertible, I'll likely buy a Miata for example (< Doubt that will ever happen).

Without reading anything but the title of this thread, I'm tossing in my .02. 99% of the Civic's you see on the road are not worth the gas spent racing them. You wasted your time, and the guy in the Civic's time.

I've already glanced and seen the posts's about the fast civic's, but the ratio of slow civic's to fast civic's is extremely high out there. My buddies CRX can demolish my car at the smaller scca track's just because of the small radius turn in's, but in acceleration there's no contest.

same goes for 99% of camaros you see on the road. very few fast camaros in the entire production run.

same goes for any non fast car.

My honda was built in Kentucky

Fact of the matter is. It's 2010, this import vs domestic argument is stupid. We live in the United States, we are extremely involved in a global market. We import things, we export things. GM didn't have to rely on our tax dollars because Honda and Toyota did it to them. They did it because they sucked at running a business.

I know they were built in canada but the fact is that they are an american icon and they heritage comes from here. it was made mostly for the american market. same way some imports are assembled here but they come from a damn japanese company thus making them imports.
