Z06 vs. T/A

I know this is a dumb question but I was just curious what would my T/A do with a 505 hp Z06. I know i'll get busted but would I be anywhere near it in the 1/8th. Mods are in sig.

Its going to blow by you after it gets traction very quickly. You do have good mods but not good enough to come close to keeping up with one. Ive driven a Z06 several times and that car is just way too fast. If you had a 100 shot atleast you will probably be able to pull with your mods.

A buddy of mine saw one run an 8.76 in the 1/8th, how good of a driver would you say that is because I have no idea what a good time would be ?

its not a dumb question but it is in the wrong place. do everyone a favor and read the RULES in every forum section. if you did you would have read that a question like yours belongs in the drag and bench racing section. kindly redirect your question there, for you would be following the rules and most likely getting your question answered more quickly

1/8 mile... hmm. First gotta clarify a whole bunch of "if's":
IF you have very good tires and a 60' time of a minimum of 1.7sec
IF your mods give you the power you should have with them and you arent 300+ pounds like me
IF the vette driver is a very good driver and doesnt botch his launch (thats a big IF)
If those "IF's" are satisfied, you will probably be down 2-3 cars through the 1/4 mile. With his walk starting at the 440' mark, which turns into a run by the 1/8 mile mark.
IF you had a 150 shot ontop of your mods you should be able to edge him out up top. IF your tires could handle that much extra power. C6 Z06's are an amazing car with the performance of a well built street/strip car from the factory floor. And they handle just as well as they go in a straight line.

Yup there just to much car to keep up with. From a roll it would be over quick and from a stop that car (z06) spins but not like no other it dosnt spin like us f bodys, where we go all over the place its spins fowards until it grips than becomes a monster. I think i could beat one! Thats with 100 shot of nitrous ofcourse.. if that..lol

In 2 weeks and 2 days I could take one from a dig or roll.... total cost of mods just to be able to say that = $6,500. And even with heads/cam 450+rwhp I'll still need the Zex 100 shot for a roll race win.

yep they are no freaking joke..I always laugh when the import guys think they only run low 12's....You should have seen this supra owners face when he lined up with my buddies stock Z06...Supra was makeing 500-600 rwhp but it might as well have been 300 rwhp cause the stock Z06 just jogged away

VERY SERIOUS...
Any car that any average driver can jump in and go to pretty much any drag strip despite the conditions and weather and still run an 11.9 at 123 mph is just a FAST car...good driver in good conditions and 11.6 at 125 is VERY doable...Even 11.4's at 126..
The 10's at 129 stuff is all BS..But they really can do low 11's at mid 120's and even as high as 126-127..
That is AMAZING for a stocker...The fact that you can get a 2006 for only 35K and have that performance is still shocking..In another year or two when they hit 25-30K for a 2006 Z06 1/2 the guys on this board will have one..

True. I plan on having one as soon as they get to that price range. It is just amazing that a C6Z is just getting started when most guys have a goal to get to their level. You can't beat it. 11's with OEM reliability and quality, except their tires kinda suck.
