"Raced" a 300SRT8 the other night...
Didn't plan on posting this because its kind of weak but oh well, he was a ricer.
On my way to a car show with a friend (stock lt1 z28), when I see a 300 SRT8 at a light and I pull up next to him. He had exhaust and a k&n sticker on the side, so maybe an intake as well, but not sure. He didn't seem interested so I left the light slow, even hit skip shift, but jumped behind him 1/8 mile later for the turn on to the highway.
The light goes green as we are coming to it, so I downshift into 2nd at like 25mph, and he gets nasty around the turn, so I know its on. I regret not putting it in 1st because I couldnt reel him in until 2nd really got rolling and once I hit 3rd, he left off so I passed him and went wide onto the highway to give him the open lane next to me. My friend was behind me in the LT1 trying to get video of all this, but couldnt keep up
He just casually cruised so I put it in 6th and did the same. I get next to him just to see if he wants to play and he just takes off so I downshift around 70mph into 3rd and stop his pull, but then have to let off for traffic.
I pull up next to him again a little down the road, downshift into 3rd around 70 again. Right when he hears the duals in his ear, he must have assumed I was taking off so he hit it, but so did I and I stopped his pull and reeled him a bit in, but he let off.
I try it 1 more time as he pulls next to me. I have it in 2nd @ 50 but I'm just rolling with the clutch in so I can yell to him. I hold up 3 fingers and yell go on the 3rd honk, but no idea if he saw/heard me through his 5% tint and window 3/4 of the way down. I honk it off anyways, and nail it but let off since he didn't hit it, but then he floors it and evens up with me so I get back in it, nail 3rd and by almost the top of 3rd (80-85) I think he was right at the back of my bumper, maybe a bit more.
His car sounded good, but I think I would have pulled him up top by a car or 2. I've raced 3 of the 5 SRT8's now, tied a Charger when I was stock, beat a Challenger from a dig because the driver sucked, and now this 300. Only a Jeep GC and a Magnum to go.

300c and charger Srt8s can be quick from rolls and digs despite the weight. Saw a 300c srt8 with intake and I'm going to guess tuner running 12.9s in 1800da and charger srt8 bolt ons and drs and stall I think doing 12.4s. Pretty good for both with little mods

Also got a coworker with a full bolton/big stall/geared/tuned no interior SRT8 Challenger who claims to have hit 12.2 on motor and 11.8 on a 150 shot. He has a big TVS on it currently at 'around 650rwhp' now but hasnt run the 1/4 yet (keeps breaking stuff and running into fueling and chassis issues).
He said he, too, will be around 800rwhp like the guy at the track I saw run- he knows him and is copying his engine build, except going with alot bigger rubber and a 9" rear. Eventually I'll run him after I get my 150 shot on.

Have seen a dozen SRT8's run at the track when DA was around 2,000ft. Stock to headers/cai/tune/catback/DR's were in the 13.5-14.0 range. Saw a supercharged SRT8 Challenger with "800hp" written on the sides and on Nitto 05R's running a best of 11.6 and the rest around the 12 second mark... The whole Dodge crowd of at least a dozen cars was watching and talking how they figured he should be in the 9's before his first run. They got real quite, real quick.

At Sears a bolt-on R/T will run mid 13s. Bolt-on SRT-8s high 12s. Stock the R/Ts are 13.9s+ and SRT-8s 13.3s or better with 2.0 60fts. Trap speeds all over the place for the SRT-8s.
I've done my worst stock of 103.5mph and best 111.5mph tuned at Sears and that was at 75-80 degrees outside.
