here is a vid of my Z06 vs my cousin's 07 STi. all roll runs.
1st run 40mph roll, Z06 in first, STI in 2nd and no spray, passenger (camera guy) in the Z06 and no passenger in the STI. Z06 spun a little in 1st.
2nd also 40mph roll, STI on spray, I took the pressure on the tires down to 30psi which helped a little, again no passenger in the STi.
3rd run 45mph roll, camera guy in the STI, and the STi didnt spray... I broke my tranny hitting third gear
I will be getting a new built transmission very soon and hopefully will have the time to run the sti before it snows here! Keep in mind that elevation are killing the Z06 (power lose in N/A cars is more than FI)
Sorry for making this Long... here comes the vids.

yea the altitude is killing you... doesnt hurt the turbo car nearly as bad 26 psi at 6000 feet is like 24 psi at sea level. the ratio is definately in his favor... your losing 20% power where hes losing 7% IF he was running 26 psi at sea level... Nice thing about the turbo at altitude you can just make more boost to make the power you want, but of course your working the turbo harder in the thinner air. Dont have that luxury N/A.
26psi @6000 ft on the boost guage is + the 11.8 psi air pressure. 37.8 total
26psi @ sea level on the boost gauge is + the 14.7 psi air pressure. 40.7 total
37.8/40.7= .93 * 26psi = 24psi.
sorry im really bored... lol.. i think i did that math right. Always wanted to figure out how much altitude affects turbo performance so just thinking out loud.

Surprising results actually. Even with the altitude issues (6,000' Seriously?) I woulda assumed the Z06 would have still killed the Sti. The math provided by got-a-ls1 comes out to 476rwhp for the vette, and 520/570rwhp for the Sti. On a spreadsheet I guess it makes sense- Z06 is probably 100-200lbs lighter (if neither car is on a diet), while the Sti has AWD eating up its hp.

I got beat really bad by a sti in my C6 z06. I have dyno tune, cat back, and C.A.I. I dyno 467wrhp. The Sti was fully built on 30psi of boost. It was a low roll like 20 to 25(spun really bad) but damn they can be fast.

Both cars are impressive but that STi has one very well put together setup.
