Those times really are nothing unusual for that combo in an SN95 from what I've seen seriously. Mid to low 13's with a few guys in the 12's with AFR 165's and mild cam. fwiw years ago I knew a guy that had a 94 Cobra 306ci with those same 165's, ported Cobra intake, small AFM cam, full bolt ons, 3.73s, tune and so forth and he knocked off consistant mid low 13's @ 105 ish on 17" Dr's and stock Cobra wheels. I ran that same guy a few times from a roll in my LT's & tune '97 SS and blew his doors off.

I have seen alot do it with 3.73s and 4 speeds as well. But thats just the way those cars are set up for the most part. If snake95 can get a low 1.7 '60he will be 12s no problem. Then he can worry about getting a different cam and whatnot. That car can hit 12s as it sits right now he just needs to figure out the launch.

I maintain that the car just doesn't have the power or gear to run 12's as it sits. If he does run 12's as it sits, it's going to be in negative DA, and it'll be like a 12.98.

Are you inferring that 13.195 isn't a 13.2?

Wrong. He has a shift light, therefore he programs the light before the runs. I'm sure everyone runs their best pass on a new setup on runs #1, 2, or 3 right? I find it hiliarious that you discredit his driving skills just because he didn't run what he expected the FIRST time out. That just goes to show you have selective reading/hearing. You only choose the details you like, and bend the rest to fit your little scheme.

FWIW, I only ran a best of 13.12@108 without my LS6 intake and tune (in 1500 DA) in my first 3 passes ever. I went back and got a 12.89@108 in 1200 DA, and definitely could have gone faster, but I added things so we'll never know.

Just so you know, even though it's late October, the DA was like 900 at the time of our last pass.

My gripe was with the fact that the way he talked in other threads, he had an easy mid 12 second car and anyone who thought otherwise was retarded. He told someone who's car should be good for mid-low 13's that he was a "waste of gas".

We should run that h/c/i gear'd, tire'd Cobra vs my FWD full weight Buick Regal on all seasons.

Please post the URL for that thread, you know I was talking to wonder boy with the broken *** LT1 that was in pieces and claimed he ran a 13.98. Once again, my first time out I did not expect to hit my goal. So even if I play your game, and said Yeah I do have a 12 sec car, I sure as hell have a lot better chance of hitting it the next time I go, or the next time, instead of the first 3 runs EVER with a new setup on DR's I've never launched on before at the track...you expect every car to see it's full potential the first time out? If so, you aren't as intelligent as I thought.

My GTO is an 11 second car.
I just need another 18 trips to the track until I hit my goal.

Your GTO probably is capable of an 11 if you've ran a 12.017 (IIRC). If you said it has an 11 sec pass in it, I would not call BS at all. I don't think anyone else would either. Way to take things out of context, though, it was my FIRST time out, not like it was my 4th time out and I said I STILL needed more practice launching/shifting. First time, as in the ONLY time I've taken it.

that'd be me. when i first saw this thread i wasnt even gonna bring up the past posts..i didnt want to rub anything in. then snake referred to me as a 13.9 lt1 in pieces  exaggerating to the max. for the record, my bolt on lt1 ran 13 flat at 105 with a worse 60 foot in worse weather  but in his defense, juice, i have witnessed a fox body run a 13 flat at 101 on a 1.7 60 foot. so 12's is possible. negative da and redline launch ftw!

snake just go back to correcting peoples grammer in every thread and complaining..things you're good at.

I didn't go back to the thread, I honestly thought it was a 13.9, my bad...but it wasn't running at the time of you posting in the other thread, that was my gripe in THAT thread. In regards to the Fox you saw, if I launch higher (maybe less PSI?) I am confident in my ability to get a 12. I don't know what I was thinking, not driving it to its' full potential my very first time out with it on DR's at the track.

Minus the douchebaggery in the second sentence, and if snake is right and you ran a best of 12.017, then that is a valid statement. Hell, even a 12.2 would be valid depending on the trap.

If it makes you feel any better, you almost have an 11sec car.

Actually I think he almost has a 13 second car cuz 12.6 is closer to 13 than 11. lmao

Yeah, I'm basically a 13 second car, which is basically stock times, which is like a stock LT1. I should just sell it for an LT1.
