Willizm vs Hugger1975 battle of the DD's
So I got in touch with hugger to do some runs. I initially wanted to run my T/A against his camaro to give me a baseline before The next big thing I do to the car. Unfortunately I'm not able to do so since the rear end is near death so I figure why not do a run with our daily drivers. we agreed to meet last night and went out for two quick runs. One from a dig and one from a roll
My car is a 335xi weighing 3800lbs with a tune and intake. I'm estimating around 360awhp
Huggers slowbalt sits at 3000lbs with a tune and catback delete and he's estimating around 280-290fwhp I believe.
Race 1(Dig): we do a dry run of the strip and head back to the line. Hugger does a quick burnout while i sit pretty and turn on my heated seats . The we lineup and agree to a three honk. Hugger honks it off and we both launch. I think I may have left early, but he says I didn't. I immediately take about 3-4 car lengths and keep it up to about 100mph. Interesting thing is that he matched my speed once he grabbed enough traction but was still about 3-4 lengths behind when we shut it down. Should make for an interesting roll race. We agree that it was a pretty good run. He wasn't able to do a no lift shift from 1-2 or something like that.
Race 2(Roll): this was a pretty good run. Video is below. we get up to about 30 and he honks it off. I start in 2nd gear and he does as well. Shifts were dead on for hugger and it started with him about a quarter car on me and ended at the same. Pretty much a tie and great run. I'd give the win to hugger on this one as he did end a quarter panel on me.

I have to give a crap load of credit for hugger to agree to a dig run against an awd car when it's about 40degrees outside. The roll race is very telling of how good these turbo Balts can boogie. I had a blast and we sat around chatting about our daily drivers and our plans for the fbodies over the winter. I can't really talk about it yet, but it's going to be some interesting posts in this section come spring time

this made me laugh so I had to quote it.
Will is a stand up guy. It was a fun ending to my long *** work day. He waited patiently at my place of business as I was a bit late cuz I had to kick some employee ***
I always wanted a story posted about meeting up with a tech guy and posting an awesome race. Well, here you go.
I like to think I tell a good race story but this is damn good. The details are exact. All I can say is damn that was f'n fun.
That bimmer rips outta the whole like a mother. It was beep beep beep.....vrrrrrrrr see ya. He couldnt post the vid cuz all you'd see next to him is tall corn....
Great to meet him and hope we can both find time or the next victims to come join the fun
