Thanks for posting that vid....2006 was a disapointing year for the viper...the coupe body style was awesome....unfortunetly the coupe came in at 70 pounds heavier than the vert....3450 vs 3380...even worse were the vets dynoed 435-455 the 2006 coupe had pcm changes and many dynoed 400-420 rwhp..the added weight and weak pcm made for some disapointed coupe owners..there are many post on the viper forums about the 2006 pcm change and more than a few got new pcm's or after market tunes getting the power were it should be at around 440 plus rwhp.....

very disapointing with the 2006 coupe however they more than made up for it with the 2008's

The only let down I see is for those poor guys with the LS2 C6's, kind of (but nowhere near as bad) like the '11 Mustang GT getting what the '10 should have had. Other than that the LS2 is a great engine, LS3 is, of course, better but not by a wide margin.

Battle of the Supercars is a **** poor example of a race. Tanner can launch near as good as Paul can, ever drag race I've seen on that show he gets raped out of the hole.

Actually, no man. I really REALLY wouldn't want to own a Lamborghini, especially where I live and the fact there are no dealerships around. Even if there were, there is such a thing as being pretentious. Do I want to be like every other Lambo or Ferarri owner, who nine times out of ten doesn't even know what he owns, or how to fix it? Nah, I'll pass. I even take back the statement I made about taking a Viper over a Vette, I wouldn't. I was just trying to make Killemall feel better I actually usually find the drivers of such cars so damn smug, imo anyways. It's what you like man, and who cares what others think. More times than not I just want to go to the store and back, and don't always want to be noticed. In fact, under the radar is a good thing (hence the appeal of sleepers and stealth setups-it's also called being "conservative") for those who aren't peacocks (which I nominate Killemall for THAT award- "Peacock syndrome"). If I, like a few others on here wanted to be noticed, I'd plant the throttle firmly to the floor, the sounds and sights to follow are good enough for me. So in a nutshell no, I would never spend the money on a new Lambo, even if I could afford one. I would however, buy the biggest frickin' boat money could buy and live on it . I'd likely have a ZR1 though, you know. .. so I'm not noticed .

Those guys with the 600 rwhp NA C6Z06's and 2000 rwhp TT Vipers and 1700 rwhp supras and 1200 rwhp TT Lambos and 1300 rwhp TT FGT's...Those are the guys spending the time and money and pushing the car scene to heights its never been. Those are the guys setting 6 speed IRS records and 1 mile records.

99% of us just sit back and imagine what it would be like to own a stock one and then tell others about the awesome vid we saw...So remember next time you wanna bullshit someone about how you wouldnt want this or that..How about you atleaste go buy a car that cost 80K but dosent get noticed...a black 550AMG perhaps. Those are around 450 HP and look just like any other regular mercedes 4 door you see..Just take off the AMG emblem and pretty much no one will know. Go buy one of those and back up your claim.

Come on, there's smugs in every class of car owner. Not just the exotic cars. I've talked to a few, most of them are down to earth. But as I said, they come in any vehicle type, age or gender.

As for the lambo, OK, I can see about not having dealers around so that makes sense.

As for the ZR1, yeap, you would fit right in. 1 in 10 might catch it only because of the emblems on the car.

agreed....for a car that has went 11.5 stock its pretty sad we only have a guy doin 11.2s ...

But you gotta understand..its a very rare car...it sickens me to say this but on the Viper site that has like 2000 members..their are maybe 3 guys actively dragging their 03-06 SRT10 vipers that arent head and cammed at 600 rwhp or Sc'd at 700 rwhp or TT'd at 1000 plus rwhp..

ones speed freak who went 11.5 stock on stock tires
ones Dragon rider who did 11.2 with intake/exhaust/high flow cats and tune on reg tires
And then me...And Im not even at a real drag stip

Now for TT and SC vipers there are quite a few..but no one does just bolt ons..LOL

The guy who ran the 11.2 on street tires is my friend..he has intake/tune/exhaust/high flow cats...Thats it....490 rwhp...we have guys with 520 rwhp with bolt ons who could add slicks and go dragg race. But they just have no desire

One thing with rre cars is that numbers just arent on your side for setting records ect. Id see 20 fbodies and 3-5 vettes at the drag strip on a regular night. saw two vipers in 5 years
