Eh, not so sure about that one. Maybe manual vs manual is closer, but this is stock vs stock (my friend vs some tool):

An LT1 is no more of a performer then a 2v GT is stock for stock.

Hell, my X-pipe/exhaust '98 GT stayed a car behind two LT1s from 40-110mph. BEFORE I did the PI intake/cam swap. But there's no way I would claim that car was as fast as an LT1. And it's fairly known and accepted that LT1 F-bodies (with the exception of the 96-97 SSs that people love to bring up) generally run dead-nuts with 99-04 GT 5spds.

After thoroughly reading your post, taking in it's context and professional over-all multi-quoting ability, I would have to say this last sentence convinced me. You sir are a grade-A debunker. I don't know what I was thinking.

You and Nacho SS need to get a debate team together.

Then why are people (Regulars that know what they are talking about) in here agreeing with me?

I am first to admit my stock 2v GT isn't anything scary. It's a daily driver I picked up for nothing. I don't think I acted like I had anything fast. Cause I don't

I am all for someone debunking anything I have to say. A good debate if you will. But all a few of you flunkies are doing is posting lame ad-hominem attacks. Redfire, how many times have you been busted for acting like this?

I mean it just makes those that know what they are talking about for you.

Yes I am sure. And both of the LT1s were running just fine. That's an example of the person driving the slower car, doing better than the person driving the faster car. Just like this race

Well then maybe people should be more specific and say Z28. After all the SS is an LT1 like the rest, isn't it?

Nice.

It's a small percentage of a long run of cars. They were made from 1993-1997, included Z28s, Formulas, Trans Ams, and then right there at the end there were a few SSs tossed in for good measure. It's accepted that the SS cars are the fastest, and ran 13.6-13.7s... which means that the other cars (ie; the VAST majority) do not.

WTF does that have to do with anything? My '99 ram air Formy was a limited production car as well, so does that mean it can't be brought up in a LS1 vs. ??? debate? Your comment makes no sense.

What a lame excuse.
