I lost!! 08 mercedes cls550
Its me again...well my night was going great because I had made a posting earlier about beating an audi tt..any ways I went to a friends house and hung out for a bit..and I left, well on my was home I seen some Hids behind me so I slow down to see who it is and its a mercedes newer one so I hit the brakes a little to see if its the AMG one..and no its not...i think it was like an 08 or 09 cls550..well we hit a red light and I look over at him, he looked to be 35 to 40 years old..well I take off just a little..and he steps on it that thing took off pretty good, I floored it too and spun so so bad I fish tailed a lil too!! We drive a bit more we hit another light and where talking about each others car...i tell him wanna try again? He says ok, we go at it again from a red light he takes off wit pretty much no tire spin, well I spinn like a mad man again we hit like 60 or 70 and he is about a car ahead..it sucks too because I pulling on him real good...but any ways was I suppose to lose **** I need MTs 4k stall and LCAs and trq arm and I will be set ...give me your thoughts...his car was brand new, he did not even have plates yet....also do those come in manual trans??

All MBs sold in the US are auto.
Sucks that you lost because you spun. I killed an E550 last year, and when i looked it up they trap 108-110. I'm sure the CLS is just as heavy, so it's probably in the same area.

Good try, you just need to get your traction down. A stock stall A4 should NEVER have traction problems with just boltons!
~that being said~
You dont make enough power to need drag radials. Hell, I barely justify them - but dont run them. I hate to beat on the same old drum yet again, but:
Get some very sticky, Extreme Performance Summer tires. IE buy one of these: Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Kumho Ecsta XS, and Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08. I run Star Spec's, and NOBODY beats me off the line on the street. $136-$161 a tire for 17" rims.

You'll get it down man, it's hard to launch on the street. I have nice fat BFG TA/KDW and spin below ~45-50. It's just bolt ons and 2.73 rear.
Unless you have a lot of suspension mods a roll race is much easier. I'm not sure why some are saying these cars don't spin stock/bolt on only. My old TPI 3rd gen would spin from a 40 role and it ran around 110rwhp less!

You have some real nice mods on your ride. You should have been able to take him if your tires grabbed.
As a suggestion, if you do not use the car every day just put on some DRs and use them as you would a street tire. Since I put in my 4.10s, that is all I use for my street tire. If you get a set of Shittos, you can actually get about 10 to 13K on them (as long as you don't burn the crap out of them). If you know a race is comming, just give a little spin to the tires to clean and heat them up..then your ready to go..
Ohh..down side.. you can't drive with them in the rain..

I agree with posts above about some nice sticky summer street tires. My m6 ta would dead hook in 1st in warm weather with gsd3 goodyears. My gto stock 340 rwhp hooks the same with my new kdws, by bfg.
