These new 5.0's are getting slower per each ls1tech kill thread. I've lost interest, pretty soon we're going to have "My bolt-on LT1 killed a new 5.0" threads.
Where's all the TX2k11 vids?

Show us where rather than just spouting off and skipping the "correct" facts. Look how the GT500 compares to the GS and ask yourself if a standard C6 can run with the GS. If your answer to that question is favorable to the standard C6, you're in lala land.
Or were you saying I'm wrong for referring to a new C6 as a great car?
Simply saying someone's wrong without providing the slightest actual evidence and only your uneducated opinion means nothing.

Some of the big names are probably still down there for the Texas Mile this weekend and haven't got around to putting out the videos. Most people take time to put 'em together. Here's one from multimedia: https://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedi...x2k-video.html

there is a lot of hype concerning the 5.0 but the facts are that theyre solid 12 second cars and can be pretty quick with just bolt ons (11's@118mph) which aint bad for a 3600lbs car.

Don't claim it til you run it. I ran a 12.66@112 with basically the same mods as you, and I was on $70 245 street tires. You'll definitely have the power for mid-low 12s, it just depends on how hard you are leaving. If you want to see my run, just click time in my sig, it's a link to the video of it. Still wish the DA wouldn't have been like 2000 that day. Oh well.

No problem at all. I just dont see why I've seen so many people being flamed for beating a 5.0 with a bolt on f-body. My post was not aimed towards you just a general statement, as I know you were only stating facts.

I agree with you completely. It runs harder than my my previous a4 car when it was exaust and lid only. That was proven. I dont have time slips yet though so I will retract that statement.

disagreeing and discussions do not equal flaming. even so, which posts exactly do you consider flaming?

yes you are. they usually start to go south when people say "those 5.0's are overhyped" or "those 5.0's are slow, i smoke them in my stock LS1" and things of that nature. And then someone will reply with "actually theyre pretty quick, look: ____ " and post evidence and then people start getting bent out of shape because theyre actually pretty quick.

A lot of it comes from who is telling the story. When it's a n00b to this section, we tend to treat them a little differently than someone who we know is a good driver/truthful/etc. If the story comes off as a bit pompous and the distanced seem a bit exaggerated, that's when the **** storm starts.....well that and when someone gives the old "damn, thought these things were supposed to be fast" line.
