Now that I think about it, wasn't there some talk here not to long ago comparing the new GT to a C5Z and that the performance was close, like in a drivers race. Thought I saw something like that. Maybe im mistaken.

I think I remember reading this too. I believe one of the rags did state that the boss was faster around their test track than the grand sport vette. It was a current issue that tested and compared all four mustangs. They also said the boss cylinder heads were cnc ported and each one spent I think 40 minutes on the machine. So basically, the boss is a heads, cams, intake, geared, tuned GT from the factory. GM...you paying attention?

I think I was that guy.... but the only thing I force down throats is *****(yes, just my *****),..so unless your a chick, I wouldn't worry about that. You can have all the power in the world,...you still gotta drive it. Seems like he's doing better then other dude, it's obvious a cam would compliment is driving/setup. End of story.

For another 2k you could be pushing close to 600 rwhp out of the gt500. I guess the vette is not going to be the only "rich kid's" car anymore
Or just put a $6000 procharger on a $32000 camaro and it will beat the Boss. There are many scenarios. I drove the GT, the Boss and the GT500, I'm a mustang guy and still bought the vette. Fords are just so damn easy and cheap to mod

Sorry. I did mean to refer to the vette. Nothing is cheap to mod on the vetted compared to the mustangs. Then again, I knew that when I bought it. Still the best sports car I have ever owned

The boss is also 41000. For 48000, I would ante up the 7 grand more for the gt500. And yes, you can get a gt500 from a ford web site for 48,000 new.

If I remember correctly, people were saying (truthfully) that a new 5.0 with a few bolt-ons and a tune would give a stock C5Z a good run. Obviously when both are modded, the Z06 is going to come out on top.

The only reason I was able to drive it was because I have bought 4 cars from them. The sticker was cut out where the price was. From what they were saying, I would get a better deal on a gt500

$500 into my dads c5 z06 got it about 20-25whp pretty cheap in my opinion. N/A to N/A i'd think it'd be comparable in price to mod LSx to the 5.0 2011. But ya corvettes are expensive to mod with the corvette tax lol
