Default 2006 Vette A6 vs 2001 Z28 M6

I took the car out today and went up against a 2006 A6 Vette bone stock and we went from about 50-55mph to about 120mph. I tried to powershift into 5th and FAILED lol. Either way when i hit top of 3rd and 4th it was about even. I have much respect for the Vettes, i was shocked i was lucky enough to keep up somewhat.

Nice vid, someone you know?

I woulda thought the vette would have done better then that. Not much better, but maybe another 1/2 to 1 car on a bolton LS1.

Just curious as to why a nitrous dry system? Going stand alone?

is the 06 still a LS2 vette. Yea it won't be hard to beat a stock one with a cam added. Very nice run though.

I actually had a Zex wet system that i was planning to do a 150 shot. I sold it because i needed the money at the time. I just decided i want to do a dry system 75-100 shot tops, this time around. I know you can do the same with the wet for some reason i said F it and go with a dry system and have Frost tune it for me.

Thanks man, i was shocked and nervous at the same time racing it. Ive driven them several times they are fast and have much respect for them. Ya the 06 is still an LS2 they started the LS3 in the 08+ models. I have a race with an LS3 as well.

I figured it'd be close. 6l80e LS2's bone stock would be making less to the tire than you but the weight advantage would definitely be in the Vette's favor

I always wondered how my old car would have done against an LS2 C6, and since I had similar mods, it looks like I would have fared alright.

Thanks, the clutch has had its fair share of abuse. I need to get a new clutch now. Ateast i learned something if it wasnt comfirmed from a while ago. I suck going into 5th and powershifting into it will burn up the clutch, lol. That race was our last run, i have to admit even though he has a much better car then mine and i would love to own one ive never atleast speaking for myself ran into a cocky corvette owner. This guy i raced in the vid was hella cool as was the LS3 guy i raced in the past. I have much respect for people who have a better car but dont go around announcing to the world they are the sh*t.
