They are friends and a rematch will be coming. The fox is still getting everything worked out. It made 492whp/486wtq with its latest tune. Now he is going to start the suspension. He also has some spray hooked up that he hasn't used yet. 200 shot.

That dsm is still pretty fast even if it sounds bad. I think that's all that matters lol

Sounds like a Honda and not really like a DSM.

Fox needs some bugs worked out if it's running mid 11's with nearly 500whp.

He is on basically stock suspension. He just ordered a Watts link system and some other stuff.

Exhaust..who needs it..It has stright pipe from turbo right out the front fender...LOL..They just finished putting it together. He trapped at 140..It has more in it. Also he is on street tires. Look at his 60ft. It has more in it with it being AWD..1.8 60ft

That's how you do it lol. I have always heard that the best exhaust for a turbo car is no exhaust.

Here is another video of same pass with them both. Mustang driver thought the DSM would come around him. But they had to much water down. Nothing like Little River Dragway..

I talked fox owner today. He has bigger cam, intake, some more tuning, going to a 10" rim and a whole suspension to put on yet. He said he will not spray it till he gets his 10 N/A.

Ya they have a few around us..Plus some 9/10 sec civics...Plus a bunch EVO/STI's that run between mid 10s and low 12s.

Nice videos! I've always had a soft spot for 1G DSMs, I had a couple in my teens and have always thought about getting another as a project car.

Exactly. Sounded like a goddamn fart can on the back of a Civic.

Yeah, but that doesn't explain the strange noise. I run open downpipe through my cutout quite often, and it doesn't sound at all like that.

Nice runs! And love the sound of a built, high CR 5.0 engine. Damn I wish LSx engines sounded that old school badass. Mines about as close as it gets for us LSXers and still no as cool as that old foxbody.
