I also took like an hour to smack the pilot bearing in because I kept breaking the shitty wood we had and finally beat it with the end of a wooden hammer. Not sure why I didn't think of that first. Anyways, between that and actually getting it under the damn car on the jack and having someone help me actually position it and get it sitting up there, it was a pain in the ******* ***.

Yeah that's ******* brutal... I got the car on the lift around 2 and was home by 6 (pulled trans, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, welded a pinhole in the exhaust that was leaking and cleaned everything up. I don't even want to think about how much longer it would have been on stands. Sorry man.

Yeah. Taking it out only took me 4 hours or so which part of was spent looking for tools as always, granted I didn't take off the bellhousing or remove the clutch. Even still, that was really simple, I was surprised. But putting it all back together was just another ballgame. Glad I put a new disc in I do NOT want to do that again anytime soon. Like I said if I have to the next time I do it's going auto.

This trans went 175k so if the rebuild goes that long I won't complain.

. You're cutting some good times on the 6speed and it's not even one of those fancy faceplated racing transmissions used in racecars.
