he's a ******* idiot if he picks his kids up in that thing in the rain. If he get's in a wreck with and his kids in the back of it they're gonna have knots all over their head from beating off the cage. Tell him to get in heavy traffic behind a truck hauling gravel so I can laugh when a rock takes a turbo out.

Your naive enough to think that slicks = street car.......really?

Nice car, but not what I'd want to deal with.

That thing is steetable as ****. I've ridden around in it in stop and go. Very mild. 427 SBC twin 76s.

Mark has picked his kids up in his vette when it was running 7.0. Chute/cage and all.

I wouldn't consider your car a racecar.

It's weird that the slow people always have the strictest stipulations for street cars. My car is far more of a street car than the ricer ***** with cut up, gutted 100 whp civics but no one calls them race cars. The faster you go the more stipulations there are. It's funny.

Looks street able for a 22 year old, union electrician, who smokes. Keep wearing them big boy pants. YOLO.

Ohio, would you do this to yours, really? Do you have kids yet? And how would the wife feel about this?

Apparently it's steetable enough for a mid 30s business owner and his wife and kids. Way more steetable than my car.

The faster you go the harder it is to keep a real street car.

As far as the civics go....their all junk.

The funny thing is, there are no stipulations on your car Holmes. It's your car do what you want. I don't want MY car to get to that point. As for how "fast" your car is.... How fast is it? You're right, that gutted 240 looks completely street able. Looks like a real class car bro. Fuel cell in the back, caged, running multi-colored fenders. I'd bet there's no squeaks or rattles in that beaut.

Agreed. At a certain point, I feel you have to have a street car and a race car if you want one to be 10's or less fast. That'd be safest IMO.

I have 3 kids 14/16/18. And yes I would do that. I took my youngest daughter down the track in my 5.0 when it ran 10.3. Driving on the street in a caged car is safer. Its also about how much throttle you give it.

Yea it's getting painted, it is 100% gutted. Not sure if you know this, but it's hard to weld a cage in with the interior in the car. My car is going to break all your rules though, cage, slicks, fuel cell, chute, fender exit. It's still going to run pump gas, be driven everywhere, have full interior minus rear seats and a sub. Because streetcar.

I'd do it, but I'm relatively young (28) and single. The fact that we have stock cars selling right now that technically need a 6-point rollbar to run legitimately at an NHRA track kinda makes that requirement a bit touchy. If I had (or when I have, if you will) a 10/11s car, it will at the very least have a 6-point cage. But at that point I also install racing harnesses and the most comfortable appropriate seats. And of course padding on the contact points of the rollbar.
