Odarabla's infinite BS thread for the foreskinned (AKA Smack Down)
Yea that 1.7 is to small......******* way to small. Did they atleast come up with a another more efficient designed blower? Even if they did I don't see it being much better than a tvs. The tvs is way more efficient than the roots was.

well I'm sure it's fine for it's intended purpose. but the hotrodder in us wants the biggest ******* blower from factory that can fit under the hood!
They have to weigh in manufacturing costs vs warranty issues etc. I would assume the would want to stay well under the hp that the engine can handle.

figured id mention this because im baffled/at a loss. Always wondered the reason as to why my buddies catback only base model 5.0 trapped 116mph. I now know why. Took it to a local certified scale and weighed it side by side with my buddies GTCS. The GTCS came in at 3540 with notable weight reduction with no driver and a 1/4 tank of gas. The catback only base model came in at 3300 even with no driver and a 1/2 tank of gas. He is 125lbs. With a quarter tank and driver... that means his race weight is 3400lbs. Im in shock as to how light his car is. I dont get it because my car and his weigh the same and mine is essentially a base model with a good amount of weight reduction. The only weight left in my car that his doesnt have is the brembo brakes and recaro seats and even that is no more then a 50lb difference....
I bought the wrong 5.0

Seriously... it weighs the exact same my car does. I dont get it... hes not hiding anything. And its a solid 150lbs + lighter then a base model should be. This car came from the factory this light... nothing the owner did

Is he the original owner? I want oneeeeee
Exactly. It made 378whp with a catback which is normal. But then spins and wheel hops his way to trapping 116mph EVERY pass. So now we found out why. I just want to find out why its that light.

I drove a similar car today. It was a lot of fun. First time in a 5.0 . It did pretty well! Didn't expect it to pull like it did on the top end. If I had some extra cash laying around, I might have taken it home. The car was automatic and power windows, nothing else special. Felt like a 115 MPH car from my experience.

Why not pull up his vin vs another vin and see what options he is\isn't missing.
Mechanical vs power seats, no heated seats, etc etc... no brembos, all thats weight reduction, esp the brembos being rotational inertia
