That ZL1 isn't even close to stock.
Depening on pulley/injector/tune they could have picked up 100hp. Thats liek saying I only added a boss intake.
The ZL1 that wore the Lingenfelter banner at the track had minimal modifications. The only underhood upgrades was the LPE was outfitted with were a supercharger pulley to bump up the boost, reflashed ECM, 160-degree thermostat and a LPE ported and polished airintake leading to a K&N air filter. The only other modifications to the car were swapping out the street performance tires for skinnies up front and Nitto NT05R drag radials out back..
EDIT Just seen it made 652whp that is over 100whp what they made with it stock.

Not really impressed with the lingenfelter ZL1. That is alot of mods to barely break 10's. Although they say the d/a wasn't very good and those nt05r's are the same tire I have on my car and they aren't that great. I would much rather buy a c6 z06 vette and do bolt-on to run 10's for the money of the ZL1

Startin' to think man.....
Actually mine has never acted up before...But I hear nightmare stories.
LOL>yeah I don't know what the donuts were for... maybe they get pulled over a lot???
The autos don't really experience that problem, but yeah...i hear you about the 10 bolts and that "looking over your shoulder for impending doom feeling"...
Oh look!!! Another Redfire target ...

You guys have window motor problems? I had 120k on my lt1 camaro before they started to get slightly slow. And 2 of my other v6 camaro's got slower after 150k, but never did stop working. Replacing one every other week seems like you had some kind of other problem. I think it is just a common thing for window motors in most make and models of cars. I know my honda just rolled over 150k and those windows have barely been going up and down the last 10-20k lol
Damn Lol, I've never owned a Ford though, so I can't talk. I've been considering a new auto 5.0 but after a buddy who was ranting and raving to me about how awesome his is - well, he now has it under Iowa's Lemon Law. Same thing for another M6 guy we know around Des Moines area. I'll give it some time and see what happens with them. Each car has their flaws. It is all relative.
If it came down to a new F-150 or Silverado today, I'd likely rock the F150. The crew cabs are amazing with space.
I wouldn't imagine the drag setting to help out a whole lot with street tires.
Like I said though, if there is a buddy in NE Iowa cranking out low 12's @ 119mph in a bone stock auto CTS-V, I don't see any reason why the new ZL1 couldn't match or better this time.
I never had too many problems with mine when I had it for 3 years. I had to replace one window motor, but that was a $40 fix and I think apart of that may be from previous owner failing to do it correctly and getting the window out of track. Idiots
Haha, wish Fbomb rear ends were stout from the factory. Ohh well, as much as I deny it, something about the "raw" feeling of an Fbomb will probably bring me back into one. 01-02 black WS6 of course.

If you're referring to Irunelevens as targeting you like you say Redfire did, don't flatter yourself someone pitching their 2 cents in on here is sort of asked for, being a public forum 'n all

I'm a pretty reserved person, so I've never been one to wanna chest up with someone unless it is absolutely necessary like having my friends' backs or something of the like. The most confrontation I'm in is drunk dudes at bars who get 43 drinks in them and wanna come run their mouth to the "big guy" for no other reason than to try to swing their alpha male ***** all over the place...and those guys light my fire, I'm guilty of being thrown out of a couple bars for losing my cool and throwing a right jab
