I've been lucky. Mine hasn't broken, but the passenger window takes it's sweet time rolling up. I never bothered to do that hotwire mod or whatever it is. I'm also the same guy that has a blown speaker in the back from the day I bought it. Just have been busy doing other things and haven't gotten to fixing it. Priorities

Funny how you throw a fit when someone post's up a gt500 or 5.0 that doesn't run the best time possible and than you post a video of the fastest one you have ever seen, BUT when they run ONE time with a camaro it automaticly runs that fast and should be a good race with a 5.0 all of the sudden lmfao. BTW the ZL1 has broken 11's stock already

You guys have window motor problems? I had 120k on my lt1 camaro before they started to get slightly slow. And 2 of my other v6 camaro's got slower after 150k, but never did stop working. Replacing one every other week seems like you had some kind of other problem. I think it is just a common thing for window motors in most make and models of cars. I know my honda just rolled over 150k and those windows have barely been going up and down the last 10-20k lol

Where? And don't count the one guys that used a GPS only real track counts. So lets see the proof. Oha nd you noticed I said it isn't no faster then a SS/5.0/392. Kinda like the GT500 on stock tires. As said before it will very traction limited just like the GT500.

redline says .4 from cold air. Mention teh changed MAF but no spark or anything with these mods. LOL..Others called BS on this very site. BUt this was done before baselien rusn which resulted in a 12.2@116 at a DA of 1700. installed a 160-degree thermostat, removed the washer tank (for the intake fabrication), and installed a line lock for easier burnouts. and a 12.04@115 with just DR's. with tune changes and the cold air as said went 11.6@118.

Yes I did notice that. That was my point of quoting you. "It isn't no faster" lol. Wich means your reg stock 5.0/SS/392 runs low 12's@116 while spinning right? Btw I am in no way standing up for the ZL1 because I really hate the whole idea of the car. Honestly wish they would make it more like that way ford is the GT500. I'm so sick of chevrolet taking all these big cars and making them crazy corning nurburgring record setting cars. I wish they would make it handle "decent", lighten the fat pig 300lbs, and give it another 50+hp.

Damn Lol, I've never owned a Ford though, so I can't talk. I've been considering a new auto 5.0 but after a buddy who was ranting and raving to me about how awesome his is - well, he now has it under Iowa's Lemon Law. Same thing for another M6 guy we know around Des Moines area. I'll give it some time and see what happens with them. Each car has their flaws. It is all relative.

If it came down to a new F-150 or Silverado today, I'd likely rock the F150. The crew cabs are amazing with space.

I wouldn't imagine the drag setting to help out a whole lot with street tires.

Like I said though, if there is a buddy in NE Iowa cranking out low 12's @ 119mph in a bone stock auto CTS-V, I don't see any reason why the new ZL1 couldn't match or better this time.

I never had too many problems with mine when I had it for 3 years. I had to replace one window motor, but that was a $40 fix and I think apart of that may be from previous owner failing to do it correctly and getting the window out of track. Idiots

Haha, wish Fbomb rear ends were stout from the factory. Ohh well, as much as I deny it, something about the "raw" feeling of an Fbomb will probably bring me back into one. 01-02 black WS6 of course.

I hope the new 'Alpha' platform will be all that they say it will be. They could definitely be a smaller vehicle and shed some weight

So far the ZL1 has ran times of 12.2-12.6 stock. The 5.0 has went 12.2@114 stock as well as the 392 and the SS has went 12.5 unsure trap was stock. I t hink the ZL1/GT500 are both over rated stock. Be it cause the tires yes. Being the ZL1 has said to be 11.4@120 on just bigs.skinies and the 12 GT500 went 11.1@121 on nigs/skinnies. WIth that The 13 GT500 should hit 10's with bigs/skinnies. We will not know for sure till later in summer.

I am waiting t o see how much better the GT500 handles over its last year as they said they "improved it so much". Not to mention its 202MPH stock top end. WIth 662hp/631tw it better be really nasty or its a let down. It better go least 11.7@123+ even on stock tires.

Exactly... No reason for the damn thing to be so damn big! I blame the damn transformers movies! They tried so hard to get the car recognized in the movie they made it ******* huge.. It could have the same body style, but smaller and cut 300lbs easily... No reason for what they are doing!

You do realize that concept came out before they started filming that movie, right?

BTW I wonder how easy it is to remove the weight on the new SS? I would think you could easily remove 300lbs with all the heavy *** parts on it. I know those mufflers look HUGE. Anybody know of a weight reduction list for a new SS?

And for Ohio

While this isn't stock, shows they can pick up a little bit from a little bit of mods. Only time will tell what happens with them

That ZL1 isn't even close to stock.

Depening on pulley/injector/tune they could have picked up 100hp. Thats liek saying I only added a boss intake.

The ZL1 that wore the Lingenfelter banner at the track had minimal modifications. The only underhood upgrades was the LPE was outfitted with were a supercharger pulley to bump up the boost, reflashed ECM, 160-degree thermostat and a LPE ported and polished airintake leading to a K&N air filter. The only other modifications to the car were swapping out the street performance tires for skinnies up front and Nitto NT05R drag radials out back..

EDIT Just seen it made 652whp that is over 100whp what they made with it stock.

I was exaggerating a little but it was every 6 months at least. My c5 has 111k miles and no issues yet. @Willizm I see, lol over 600 to the wheels I wouldn't give a **** how fast the windows went up
