Same here. There may be a different design for the lt1 vs the ls1. In the ls1 f-cars the clutch will last about 20k for me. At 25k you will be wondering why all of a sudden you are missing gears and why the trans feels notchy at high rpm's. Driving around will still be fine. When you try to make it go 7400 you can just forget about shifting in any timely manor. They won't fully release.

Maybe you never put enough miles on the lt car to notice. Maybe it don't matter on lt as their clutch and hydraulics are different.

I would rather get 100k and 100+ passes out of a GM **** clutch (changing fluid constantly) than deal with pissing away money and hating my clutch setup. My friends z06 has a McCleod RST dual clutch and I don't think I could stand it for long term daily drive use. It holds his power great but wasn't too friendly or forgiving with constant stop and go. (That on/off feeling is not for me)
maybe im just used to mine but mine drives like stock with the rst.. slips easy for DD use.

Maybe I would adapt to it... :/ I only drove it for about 20 miles (12 highway and the rest around town).

2SS, my brother owns a 68 RS327 Camaro. Those cars look great but driving one is not, lol. The body roll is terrible and the brakes are downright scary. He bought a complete front and rear subframe assembly from TCI http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/. 4 wheel discs, coil overs all the way around, 9 inch, etc. Their setup is awesome, check them out. We are putting a cammed LS1 in it now so we have not had the chance to test it out yet.

90% LS1's won't see past 7,000rpm anyway. For most street/strip applications that clutch would work fine. If I was building an LS to work past 7k I'd probably be in the market for a more performance oriented clutch anyway.

The SPEC single disc is a decent street/strip clutch nothing more nothing less. However they do offer a twin disk that I heard some good things about.

Your right most won't. My limiter is set at 7000.....pretty much all ls6's should be set at 7000. Most guys run more cam than a ls6 once modding start and should be turned just as hard or harder. The problem is I noticed the symptoms I described when my car was a ls1 with a 6200 rev limit.

You can't really compare the lt and ls clutches. Their engagement mechanism is different.

You shouldn't of been having issues at those rpm's. Defective clutch maybe? Improper installation? Was your master ok?

I'm just speaking from my experience with my cars and several LS guys that have used them in the past with success. I'm not trying to hype them up. They are a great "budget" clutch for the guy or gal that doesn't want to dish out a arm and a leg for a clutch kit.

For the record I've heard of issues with Centerforce, Ram, Mc Leod etc etc clutches. Depending on the application, sometimes it hit or miss.

I've been surfing racing junk trying to find out. Not sure if I want a total pos and build it up in the US or buy a built one.

Patrick think long and hard. I love 69 Camaros but they can be a handful to drive on the street compared to new stuff.

Kevin my dual frictions had the same problems yours did and running DRs full time with just heads/cam 302 and in two different imports(6000 shiftpoints and 6900-7600) they didn't last either.

I only learned enough spanish to search cars and give commands and stuff when I was in the army (Lots of illegals where I was stationed), and to order food and liqor lol. Took it for 2 years in school and don't remember any of that.
