Usually the stuff that makes over 7xxwhp is the gen4 and then regapping the rings helps alot because the stock rings butt and crack the ringlands. The gen 3 internals are weaker from what i read.

When running VP on VP tune does meth/ethanol down the octane of my c16?

I want to run meth on the dyno on Sunday with my c16 for cooling affects but am worried it will bring my octane down?

You'd be better off running 100% water for cooling. That's what I did on the Evo when I was on E85.

A guy at the track was telling me Bias ply tires can slow your trap 1-2mph. How true is this?

Very true

Most guys I know running bias ply tires are still with fbodies with the stock 10 bolt with a set of 4.10s or the like. Bias plys absorb a lot of the shock and help you 60 well but they rob you a bit on the big end.

That being said, the zr1 definitely has a lot more in it when you consider the mass of your front wheels, the mass of those back wheels, DA, etc. etc.

On local dyno that dynod camaro the v hit 460rwhp..... on race gas on pump gas tune. Dont know wtf is going on...

I dont think so..... i think dyno may be off or something here bc same mod cars get same numbers in us.....

Dont know what to think just know v feels faster than 5th gen so no way it has 100rwhp less....
