Unfortunately all of the GA GT-R guys I know have insanely powerful cars. I can talk to a few of my buddies there, but If you get a blower or turbo(s) I can set you up with some 800-1200whp GT-Rs in the area.

The best way to track down the GT-R guys in GA would be to go to Caffiene and octane. They are always there and plenty of them are down to race. It's like a 2 hour drive from Benning but it's worth it and there are a ton of fast cars down to run. ZR1's, Vipers, GT-Rs, Supras, and some fast euro cars too.

Yeah... That'd end up costing me like 18k once it's down here with shipping and taxes. Might start looking for a car locally here. There was a bonestock one here going for like 9k... Had only like 20k miles on it.

yeah i'd definitely scoop that up!! wow 9k for that low mileage?! that's crazy! i'm just trying to find the right guy on the right day. my car is totally paid off and just isn't as much fun to drive as it once was. i can't bring myself to actually mod it because if i did the numbers right, its 1 of 4 made in 2000 (not including color).

There is a 2000 TA base model for 10K in jacksonville right now with 21K on it. . If it was a stick car i'd get a loan and pick it up

Lucky bastards. We are about an hr and 15 drive from the 1/8th mile and 2 hrs from a 1/4

The track management is terrible though; they will let anything that runs and drives go down the track and it gets shut down a lot because people bring their broke *** cars and break stuff.

It's nice in the hotter months when the DA is shitty, it's usually dead out there.

You can't get much closer than I am, drive past it everyday and still don't go there as much as I should.

I was pretty happy with Eddyville the other weekend. Little 1/8th mile track but it was very clean and a good environment for families, cars, etc. Tech was also very lenient that night as buddy ran a 6.5@112 and had nothing said to him (no cage)

The tech at Gainesville is so inconsistent... ******* kicked me off the track for running 13's with no helmet in my WS6 but they let anyone with bald street tires or leaking fluid all over the place run.

Made me wear pants too... LOL (I was wearing cargo shorts and they made me change)

Sounds like San Antonio Raceway. I got booted for running 10.5 first pass. A lethal vette went out ran over and over in low 10 range. Neither of us had a cage. A different vette got instant booted for a 10.9 no cage. Few other cars they let run in the high 10's no cage. All same night.

Lends on your base circle differences. I've ran like 6 different lengths and they all sound the same lol

i'd say run the length that the cam manufacturer suggests. no sense in potentially kissing a piston for a minimal gain IMO.

my thinking is just that a longer push rod = pushing the valve open slightly more?

You guys don't measure for pushrod length in the LS world? I know, I know, same heads that have been ran by a million people and same stock block, but on any mass produced engine, tolerances can vary from motor to motor...stock SBF length is 6.272 but I've had my heads resurfaced and run a different cam and I needed 6.10's...granted your motor is not a SBF, but just saying...
