That is good. The auto seem to be very good. Handling a lot of power. The manuals not so much.

I've raced a 5.0 when my car was stock well SLP lid,SLP MAF, Flowmaster, and Hypertech. The 5.0 was driven by a guy who knew what he was doing pretty well. I have time slips of my TransAm with those mods running 13.6 at 103 and that 2011 5.0 was beating me by atleast 5-6 lengths, although I am an A4 and the 5.0 being an M6 did give him an advantage. But I'm impressed by them so far. And on the other hand I raced a 2011 5.0 right after they came out and I was in the 1995 LT1 I used to have and I killed it! The LT1 had a built tranny and minor bolt ons like headers CAI pulley programmer but thats no excuse for a 13.8 car to destroy a car fully capable of high 12's stock.

Um... you do the same thing with your car every time you talk about "I just have a crate motor," or, "Well I don't have E85 up here! You have a race car!"

I do just have a crate motor...it would be stupid of me to think I could run with everybuilt motor out there and there is no doubt that e85 adds power and reduces streetability because if you 're tuned for that it's not everywhere. The tune to make the most of it is more akin to a race gas tune. Think about it....aahh I forgot you don't think

Heh... It would take either a crappy driver in the BOSS or a well modified new SS for that scenario. That particular model should run 12's while granny shifting.

Maybe that one was broken, but I'd expect it was merely being delivered since it still has stickers on the window.

On another note: What's with the Kansas folks telling those from Texas to "come down here?" Don't you boys know Texas is to the south of Kansas? They still have maps "up there," right?

Ya don't see it happening anytime soon unless the camaro is modded something fierce.

I watched one run 12.2-12.3 all night at the track. Same night I was running 11.8. He was trapping around 117 like me. He was bone stock witha DA of 2900. Easy 11 sec car. Fastest one some one ran has went 11.7 so far with tires. Best seen for stock tires is 12.0.

WHat crazy is they have same manual tranny as the 5.0. Yet no one has complained of the boss breaking. From what read ford did some stuff and fixed the tranny issue. Only time will tell.

. Reduces streetability? "Ok, so I'm taking my car that I run E85 in for a road trip... oh wow, I'm in Virginia now and this state hardly has any E85. Guess I'll have to switch tunes and run 93 octane. WHAT A HASSLE!!"

This is why I am doing a 93 tune and a E85 tune. Takes 5 min to switch tunes. So what! Also I will never drive my car across country. That is why the wife has a SUV. ..lol.

Plus I have a 80lb bulldog that likes to slobber. Its easier to wipe off her leather. LOL.

This. I ran a 14:1 motor on E85 and 93 octane. Switched tunes with my trinity when needed.

I guess you guys are a bit more hardcore than I am. I would drive mine across country if I needed to. It is my main vehicle.

There could be mixture differences of the e85 to the 93 depending on how much fuel of each is in the tank. You really need a active lamda to do it right or it could be a really big risk.
