For my N/A set up I was seeing at most 24/25* of timing with not touching the knock sensors.

Yep. Hes got a snail that makes him faster.
My thing is if he was really just bolt ons and tune and trapped 119 mph then thats pretty impressive anyway you wanna slice it.
Bet a 05 c6 has a hard time doing that.

thats less mods than that chally needed to run that 11.9. Gotta give the chally some credit though, it moves for such a heavy car. 6speed automatics FTW. They only put down about 420rwhp but still get 112-113mph traps stock with about 4150lbs. That drivetrain sure helps!
I've read that silliness so many times now, I only FEEL like saying, "Hey, DOPEY... PAY ATTENTION!" I usually just let it go altogether though, knowing they generally have a massive mental block and just can't figure it out. It's ALL about a bad tune done by a few guys who wanted to push the envelope and it's clear that most newer 5.0's don't have any such problem. Whatever though, right... You'd think, knowing someone already ran 8's with the damned thing, it isn't simply "popping #8" with bolt on parts plus a tune, as many obviously think.

I recently read they're finally looking into using the 8spd... THAT would be sweet!
Not to all those who have "all things Mustang" figured out around here... Those haven't quite been able to grasp reality. I've been told it's having to do with their sore asses or something, but Idonno...

[QUOTE=99peweterls1;15726613] Between 22-25° of timing; depends on the gas.
I actually didn't know, I had to ask a friend of mine that is very familiar with them.

I figured there was plenty of that going on.

Let's be serious. While I would agree with you that 500lbs isn't "extensive," a good amount of people here would throw a fit if an f-body with 500lbs out and beat something controversial...SRTs, 5.0s, etc. Not a big deal in my book since most cars can drop that without losing anything too important, but other people think 500lbs off a car makes it a tin can.
I figured there was plenty of that going on.

500# is ******* huge.....especially the way most guys do it by just ripping everything out but the drivers seat.
Ws when you start removing options like ac/cruise and lets see oh yea interior. Then yes that is extensive.
500# = .5 and 5mph.
On the flip side there are ways to remove alot of weight and keep a real car. I have dropped a little over 400# of mine and most of you would never know when you looked at it. You could'nt even tell by riding in it. There are other ways to remove weight.
