This really coming from you lemons? This is some of the biggest bullshit I've read through the whole thread. I just put together a "budget" nitrous kit and I am right at 1k. A decent kit alone cost over $400. You can not SAFELY put together a kit for $500 and you damn sure can't do it in under an hour. You have either never set up a nitrous kit properly or you're thinking you're alot faster than you actually are.

Will all my wires be hidden? No. Will my noids be mounted perfect? No. Etc etc... I have installed kits on cars, start to finish 6 times. Twice I was in a huge rush to get it put on for a race that night.. The install was roughly 1 hour with two people.

It was a basic Brand X wet kit with colder plugs. We sprayed two bottles through the car in the next week with absolutely zero issues. Took it off, sold the kit. He had roughly 450$ in the entire thing.. Enough to pull a H/C Ws6 in his stock-ish Z28.

Would I have hit it with a 200 hit? Hell no... Would I have continued spraying that kit the way it was set up? Hell no... But did it and will it work for what we needed? Of course.

He has another kit on the car, that again I helped with.... We have around 4 hours on the install and he has close to a grand in the kit. But this time it is "correct".

FWIW, that included colder plugs and a walbro 255 fuel pump along with a timing tricker.
Of course it had all the needed wires/switches as well. Had a bottle heater but no purge... OMG

I'm not picking a fight with him. Just completely dissagreeing with him on one subject. I have pm'd back and forth with the guy before and he is usually pretty right on with his stuff and very knowledgeable. I just know for a fact you can not have a very safe kit for $500 and under and you damn sure can't install it safely in under an hour.

I like Sweet99, very cool dude... Nothing wrong with disagreeing.

I'm not sure why you don't think it can be installed safely in 1 hour? There is nothing to wiring a simple wet kit with a WOT switch.

Very safe? Of course not. As safe as most people on here make there "budget" kits. Sure.

EDIT: I have always done it with a friend... So for me alone, I will say 2 hours or so.

I'd hit my sled with a 150 dry shot through the MAF like a bauce on my way to a 10 second pass.

What parts do I need for that?

Bottle $50
Solenoid $20
Line $20
nozzle and jet $15
Switch and wires, $5

Push the button and hit that warp drive!!!

You are an idiot of you believe nobody in that chain lost money. A brand new complete kit with plugs and a window switch including shipping for 250 means somebody along the way lost money and this purchase cannot be made on a daily basis by the general public.

See, this is not what you said before lol. I can agree with most of this. I have alot of time in my kit, but of course mine is hidden and I'm doing everything as perfect as I can. I could see an install in close to an hour, but I would not even think about attemping that. Alot could go wrong there...

My kit includes:
Br7ef plugs-$27
Brand x nitrous kit bought second hand, but new never opend-$425
Lingenfelter timing retard/launch control-$274
NX automatic bottle heater second hand again new in package-$125
Nitrous outlet switch board-$50
Bottle pressure gauge-$30
randon stuff like wires, connectors, exc-$50.

So I'm damn close to 1k and have a decent amount of time setting everything up as good as I can. I even saved finding good deals. I could have saved a hundered or so more buying a used timing puller, but I wanted to get that important of a peice new.

You got me on that one.

I buy nitrous kits with accessories just to turn around and sell them online for a 50% loss.

That's my MO.
