Good luck with you guys 5.0 build....your gonna need it. The only things those cars ever had goin for them was the gearing to get them moving from a dead stop. Maybe Notch will chime in on what happens to a bolt-on fox 5.0 vs a stock 4th gen Camaro that's properly driven.

In 95 I took my mom's new Impala SS to the in mid summer. That day there just happened to be a dealer there doing "demonstration" runs with 2 new 5.0's. One was a auto and one a 5sp. I was very interested in this being a gm guy with my mom's new 3300 mile Impala there. The 5.0's ran a 15.4 @ 88 for the 5sp and a 15.6 @ 86 for the auto.....The Impy waxed them both with a 15.1 @ 91.....it was hot that day.

You guys are gonna need a real good combo and a hole lot of traction.

When I get my new trans in you are more than welcome to come run me. Bring your bags of excuses. I'll also let you look under the hood, in the trunk, and anywhere else you want to look.

You really want to compare your fully built, stroked out, cammed up, ported head ford with no Ford parts left to a basic gm production engine??

I'll meet ya 1/2 halfway.

My buddy picked up a junkyard 351 out of a old van with real low compression pistons (like 8:1?). With trickflow heads and cam and some LT's he hung with my car on 15lbs, which is about where my buddies 500whp cobra is. That's pretty damn quick, 116-117 car easy.

Zmax dragway if you want or ATL that's about all I can offer with my schedule. I'd love to line up next to you at the track, hope it can happen. I should have the new trans this coming week. New cam should be here week after that. So as soon as the track opens we can do this if you want.

Not surprised considering a H/C/I 351 in a lightweight Fox.

I'm sure there's mustangs out there that will outrun my car but no stocker will with exception to maybe a gt 500 but those cars are how much $$? The whole point of my post before we got into the LS/5.0 dick measuring contest was how stupid and ricer bullshit rolling starts are. That's not drag racing, that's the **** people with front wheel drive, no gears, no traction, or all of the above pull. Do from a dig or bolt a wing and some neons on your **** and jack off to fast and furious!

What are some times for your car? And why are you comparing your bolt on 346cid F-body to a stock -302cid Ford?

It's doubtfull I'll have my new rear sorted out for a while. Still in the process of building it from scratch. I wanna have it in when I run you.....lol.....well at the track anyway or the 10blt will bust on that run. Atl. is 8-9hrs from me, I'm not goin that far. I don't know where Zmax is. Your gonna have to come north some, probally into VA to be 1/2 way.

Zmax is in Charlotte, NC. We will have to compare timeslips then. What's your best, 11.1@130mph? Hope you make it into the 10's soon.

Best time 12.31 @ 117 mph if I wasn't so sketchy about grinding my stock 10 bolt with a little practice and harder launch I think it could break into the high 11's fairly easy
