Well he bought it with all the bolt on on's. had everything right down 2 cold air intake/headers(no cats) and wanted it to be mpg friendly not a drag car, thought it had 3.08's , but turned out to be 3.27's after the fact, and the true duals were after market w/ blowmaster mufflers..sounded awesome might have even been tuned cuz it had no running issues..but not the best @ the track..barely broke the tires loose.. had period correct cobra rims etc. as well, btw! dont tell me I dont know what im doing..it was his car, not mine..

oh and MIKE, I agree 13.30's is slow on his 2011, it was well prepped track, D/A was right around 1400' in a auto..so no screw ups..brake torque it and let it go..was right there ..perfect runs..what can i tell ya?...might i add he has the 19" rims as well for his set up is a lose lose (3.15 gear/19inch rim/tire combo) all the way around..he's 67, all about conservative mpg etc..

I've spent into the thousands with SHM on 4v parts. Great guys to deal with in my experience. That was many years ago now tho. Sad to hear if that is indeed true.

He was the first guy to get a lot of press in regards to modding mod motors back in the late 90s. He was out of Canada. He ripped off a lot of guys on the Corral in the early 2000s and it got ugly.
He did a lot of chips for Superfly as well as the cams. Also did the exhaust it first had.

Yeah I've had this car a month but this aint my first time around the block.like I said it takes one he'll of a ford to outrun me from a dead stop. Ive ran over 20 mustangs, and my car isn't stock. Full length headers, true duals, cat deletes, lid, tune, ls6 intake, maf, and drag radials it's nothing special but ain't no stock or similar modified ford gonna run with it. That's just the Simple truth.

In the second video... these cars have identical work done to them... with the exception of the TA has bogarts on it. Look how much stronger it is... yet it still only trapped 113.XX.

^ it is what it is, I bought my car like it is, I didn't put the mods on it only thing I've did is put the DR's on and run it, where those cars you posted 6 speed or auto cars?

You are aware that currently in New England DA and temps...Stock Boss 302s are running into the 11s at 117-118mph WITHOUT the track key? One guy im familiar with went 11.58 at 118.2 with just drag radials.. no track key. Dude ive owned LS cars... read my sig... And you really cant watch those videos and figure out if there stick or auto cars? You have owned your car for a month... i owned mine for 6 years and been to hell and back with it...basic bolt on f bodies DO NOT trap 117mph... especially driven casually. And i know everyone on here will agree with me on that. If your car traps 117.... then it has more then you say.. perhaps ported heads or an ls6 cam.

I never said I drove it "casually" I said I didn't launch the **** out of it, once I'm out of the gate I drive it like I stole it. I didn't have the sound on with those videos cuz the ol lady is watching some stupid *** chick flick. My car is a one owner car and I know the guy that bought it new, he didn't say anything about ported heads or LS6 cam. I do know the motor was freshened up about 7k ago and according another buddy my car has "the good LS heads" I forget the casting number but I'll take a look and post it in a few

UPDATE
I raced the 5.0 again from another 35 roll, I hooked (70 degrees as opposed to the 30 degrees in the video helped me hook) I got him by 1 car by the end of 4th. He was catching up from the initial 1 1/2 - 2 cars I jumped on him at the start. He had his CAI and SCT tuner with the "performance" tune on.
Seems like the tides has changed, I used to pull/catch up on him and now he's the one pulling me in.

Those are LS6 heads. Not sure how much of a gain those heads alone would give you, but if it has an LS6 cam to match then it would give you the performance you claim and would still idle like stock.
I know of one bolt-on fbody that trapped 117 mph, but it had some weight reduction and ran on a cold day at Atco. My Z28 went 114 mph with bolt-ons and full weight, but in some great air at Atco. At LVD I ran 111 mph with the same setup.
LT/LS Guy, how do you like your Challenger? That's a great color combo!

I called the guy I bought my car from this morning to find out exactly what was done to my motor when it got rebuilt, according to him it was bored .30 over, hypertech pistons, stock ls6 heads, ls1 cam, ls6 intake, zo6 maf, long tube headers, true duals, cat deletes, smog pump delete, SLP lid, msd wires, msd coil packs, and a tune. The transmission has a monster clutch and I put 315 nitto DR's on it. So thats what I'm running, it's not the fastest f body around by any means but it's no slouch either. I haven't came across those elusive 5.0 LS killers yet but I haven't ran one of those 5.0 coyote cars either that I keep hearing so much about. The majority of 4.6 and 5.0 mustangs I see at the track struggle to break into the 12's unless they're blown and heavily modded. Not saying they don't exist but there's none at my local track

I'm just going to say that if someone went through the trouble to swap to 243 heads I doubt they would also skimp on getting them reworked as well since companies like AI show great gains on reworked 243's.
