IMHO if you aren't that hard on a clutch maybe you need an auto.

No auto needed here skippy I did come from an 11.56 @ 123 car with 4.56s in a stock 10 bolt. I know how to make my cars go just fine. I guess I shouldn't have been so honest about the amount of passes it took. I just don't hide nothing from anyone. so come on up and give me a driving lesson PLEASE because 12.50s are so hard to do

Recently figured out how to turn all the **** off and how to get the car moving better.
Better than me, I suck at driving but at least I know it. I don't think I've ever had a pass that didn't involve bogging, missed shifts or hitting the rev limiter. Fml

T5 is the stock craptastic manual trans that comes with all 5 speed 5.0 pushrods.

You gotta shift it like you hate it and it's not your car. That's the best advice I can give. (well actually it's not but the rest is top secret stuff)

yes, this is true. that's why i drove my 89 on the drag radials. it was really the only way i'd have any traction.

as for the nicest you've owned......it's truly amazing how far they've brought these cars, isn't it?

Newskool, there was a guy at MIR when I was there with PACMAN on his tag with a nasty fast Mach. I think he went 9.6 or 9.8. Cool guy and chatted with him a bit. I don't know if he is a member of any boards but if he is it would probally be worth it to talk to him to compare ya'lls set-ups. He still had the man pedal in his car

Thanks man I'll check. There are actually quite a few guys running D1's. I am gonna push mine hard on my new built motor. I have cams now and long tubes along with an 8 rib set up and 18 pounds of boost. My buddy went 9.8 with a similar set up on 15 lbs of boost with an F1. If I can't get in the 9's I will go with an F1.

Sorry for the Jack OP.

there's nothing wrong with admitting how many passes you've got to get that fast. no one is fast their first time in a new car. anyone that tells you they are, is lying to you.

like mentioned, i've not run my gt yet......but a friend with the 6 banger ragtop started off in the mid 15's with his......worked it down to 14.teens i think.....still untouched. i know i won't click off any 12's the in the first couple passes with the gt either........

I couldn't tell you how many times I lost my WS6 but Hio probably could because he'd be on R tires and I'd have avs sports and he would look back and see the whole side of the car lmao this thing is leap years in front of it. I have pushed it hard and it hasn't budged yet. Truly amazing cars compared to the f body.

With a better driving and good prep I think a stock Mach 1 can match these times posted for a stock SS. Again, I'm going by what I run and not what others do.
My '11 went 12.7's at close to 111 with no catback, shifter or BS. No way a stock mach runs that, not now, then or ever.

Better act fast, I doubt it will be 12.5 long. BTW the 12.5 was done on the 2nd run ever on sticky tires and only the 4th run ever period with the Mach 1. Juuuuuust sayin
