Idiots aside its not Rocket science to drive a damn stock auto ls1, lol. I never said it was rocket science but that there is room for error. It's common sense. Some people lack common senseI cant believe i'm having this conversation right now.Youre blowing it out of proportion.

Thought this thread was about a 02 camaro SS racing a 5.0 with intake and exhaust. Not a heavily modded 5.0. Tell you what, if you really wanna run, bring that 5.0 down here to ft. myers, come hang out at the meets and chill with us. We have a couple of 12 year old cars that would bust that 5.0's ***.

It's all good bro. I was just pokin fun at you.
Sadly I can't bring my car out. I pulled the motor and trans out of the vert and I put it in a stripper car and it's off getting a cage as we speak. I wish I could though.
Bolt ons and a 150 shot is not a lot. Hell we almost have to mod them to keep 12 year old stock parts from falling off! I have a lot of respect for the new 5.0 stangs. They are bad *** cars. You really should pop down here and chill with us though. It's not that far and we do have some cars that would be a good run for you. More so than a bolt on Camaro.

Its all good. I should have a run with a Fbody this sunday. At the track anyway. He runs in the 10's. I know he has a cam/stall bolt ons, and some spray. He already said he don't trap as high but should take me at the track. After me he has a 9 sec Fox to deal with. I also got a run lined up with a new GT500 that is on bigs/skinnies, tune cold air.
. I would rock a new 5.0 for sure if I could afford it. I will have to work with the junk I have though.

Well I say sell that pos!! Open up the road for the rest of us fbody users. I for one would NOT rock a new 5.0, otherwise I would rock one. I just don't like how they look, and I don't really dig Mustangs. The new ones are fast, they are solid, and all that... but they are not what I want. You could get a foxbody for cheaper than your fbody, why not look into that? lol. I'm just saying, a new coyote isn't a Ferarri, it is affordable...too bad consumers weren't into just numbers. Same reason why the Trans Formers car sold so well, wanna bees. In the end, if you like Mustangs then you're a fool not to look into a new coyote engined stang. But, if you don't really dig the stangs, look into a fourth gen ls1 fbody. Oooops, did I leave out the fifth gen

I am taking my gopro. Trying to line up a run with a 612whp Evo as well. I think it will take me on a roll even being he is lighter. But we see. I have the HP/tq advantage we see if it enough to over come weight.

Yeah that would be a pretty cool matchup. How much lighter are the EVO's? Like 300 lbs? Off the line you would get murdered, but from a roll i think you got a decent shot.

The DA gets just as low in Texas at times as it does in Florida. Yes it's normally **** ... as it is here.

My car went 8.31 @ 86 stock on stock tires. You also have a bigger motor, better heads, and more compression over the LS1. Dyno numbers mean ****.
Besides ... maybe you staged with the back tires.
