I'm going to try a different tire setup all together next time out. It either is going to work real well for my car or its going to blow up in my face and suxor.

My bias plys are about shot (or are), so when I am up and running again, I'm gonna go with the street radials. even if they don't hook as well, or whatever since I still baby it, at least it wont be floaty as **** at the top end.

******* 4th gen cars and their glass 10 bolts.

the record for a "stock" ls1 would prob be .5 quicker if they came from gm with a rear dif worth a flying ****.

Agreed. What sucks more is the 2400 or more for a nice rear end. I can't, right now, justify the money on a nice Midwest Chasis 9", wavetrac, and built everything else how I want it. $3500 price tag is hard on the bank account all at one time for me right now.

They about shot anyway, so I'll just go radial so I can keep my regular street tires up front, with the DRs out back...how I been doing, but without the pucker factor on long bends in the road.

i refuse to invest half the value of the car into a rear and supporting drivetrain upgrades.

that's ******* stupid in my book...at least for a car that sees the track once a year and spends the other 8 driveable months on the street.

Once that kind of coin is dropped on the rear end and supporting suspension stuff, it will actually see the track once or twice a month. But other then that, I do agree, which is part of the reason (mainly $$$$ though) I have yet to do anything to the 10 bolt aside from girdle and gears in the past 5 years I have owned it.

Bias ply in the rear and radials up front here...no real issue with sway. No way I would run a radial in the rear at the track!!!!

Most stock LS1's run 14's here at our track. 13.8 if lucky we have one of the shittiest 1/4 tracks around I promise you that. DA is horrible and track prep is terrible matter of fact it closed down last month..
So all of these record holder cars are worthless because they have not ran that time at your track? Dear God you are dense. I don't know it all and I am by no means a veteran, but that logic is dismal at best.

If you are complaining about your track prep and track, why not venture to a different track?

Touche, I ran an 8.2 in 2700 DA in a lowly bolt-on LT1

^^^ But your car would be considered slow at his track. You would be in the low 10's

My old car was considered slow everywhere. It is an LT1 that never had the chance to get out of the 13's. 13.024 after 3 passes. Only had probably 4 passes at an 1/8th mile strip before that. Who knows what it would have ran with the hundy shot

Well, good thing I don't live in California. I figured all of the money out there would be able to afford and fund a decent track

Who cares what you run LOL your bolt on LT1 would never see 8.2 at our track. Maybe you should read some of the posts in here before you respond. Im not the only member who knows our 1/4th is 1 full second slower then just about any track in California. And we dont even have a 1/4th anymore it shut down we only have a 1/8th that we literally just got back last thursday which was also shut down by the noise ***** of california

And your car would be mid to high 8's I would put $1000 on it. Would love to see your face when you look down at your timeslip....priceless

My bad for having better **** to do than change my sig pic and/or avatar every week with a new touched up/photoshopped pic of my boat trying to make it look good. I know it's rough being a Charger owner

To bad that picture was taken this weekend dumbass. When have you seen my car in person. And yes its nice being a SRT8 and AMG owner. I would be mad to if I had a bottom feeder mustang that no one gives 2 ***** about anymore. Come talk to me when you get a real car and when you can afford an SRT8 anything

So cool man....so freakin cool. Nice little cars. I remember when they were cool.... when I was in highschool

With how often you change your pics of your boat, it shows an obvious yearning to be accepted and/or complimented. You'll find that self confidence one day buddy, I promise you will. Come talk to me when you don't use 1/4 mile calculators and bitch about how everyone else runs at a better track than you How come you didn't answer stopsign's last question?

You make kids from our era look bad. You're composed for about 3 posts at a time then it's namecalling and **** you'd expect to see from a 13 year old. 2ssarme does it but at least he is obvious that he is ******* around. I think you're just really that immature.

Lets be real guys. If you have ever raced at Fontana it is the slowest track in the US. I gained .6 seconds just moving from cali to tennessee.
