I don't buy the fm muffler argument at near stock power levels. my car went consistent 109 and a couple spinning 111s with a lid and fm 80 only. no tune and stock everything. 2200' da. I highly doubt even an open y at that point would've been faster. I replaced it with a 10 series. it's too loud. the car sounded great with the headers and ory thru the 80 tho.

No **** riding here. I have owned, built, and raced LT's, LS's, SBF's, 2v's (just 1, lol), and 4v's. I don't use blinders or brand loyalty above any and all facts. What I read was a close race between a bolt on Mach and a bolt on LS1. Nothing more nothing less.

lol, kids these days.. I congratulated him on a good kill awhile back. I am sure in your Honda days you talked just as much trash on LS1's. When you saw what they were capable of, you swapped sides and bought one which was a good choice. I am no nut swinger and have never talked down LS1's.

I'm not sure how much difference there are in the Cobra (year?) cams and the Mach cams but yea, definitely not a bolt on. If the WS6 was cammed then it would have been an all out rape. No one will argue with that, lol. It takes more mods for the Mach to hang, plain and simple, that will never change. Was the WS6 tuned? If not it would have been a worse beating.

When did I ever ONCE defend a Mach1???? Said it many times before. The 4.6 was a mistake in any form. When everyone else was going bigger, Ford saw fit to produce a motor with a measly 281 ci and zero torque. Without boost, they are not much. What a joke. Can they be made to go fast? Sure, but so can a 4 cylinder. I will never own another 4.6 in my life and couldn't care less if it wins or loses. This race turned out as it should have and I gave the op props for the kill. I am just tired of wading through 40 posts in every thread (no matter what the thread was started about) with mindless comments about 2v's and Machs.
