Oh, I agree. Some Cobra owners make me roll my eyes, I try not to be that kind of car owner.

Started modding the Mach tonight. Cleaned the K&N, took the hood latch and cable out and installed pins to lose weight, and started taking off stuff I don't need to save weight. Also noticed that since it has the shaker, there's a ever so slight cow induction. So I took the hood off and drilled 1/4" holes in the cow pannel for more heat extraction and less weight. Hope to go low to mid 12s by Mustang Week

Maybe you should hit up Hio for ideas on weight reduction and cutting rotating weight. Considering what he has done to his car, it would be interesting to apply those same principles to a Mach 1.

LS1tech...where a stock Mach 1 makes 270rwhp and runs high 13's the same day a stock LS1 makes 320rwhp and runs high 12's.

Edit: Oh yea, and where bolt on LT1s run 11's. Can't forget that one!

It's like stopsign is suffering from amnesia... Lol. It's always been like that here, I think it's actually better than it used to be.

I would like to see that too. I would not expect it to be as fast as a ls1 but it should definitely run pretty good. Problem would be there is almost an extra 100 lbs hanging right over the nose you can't get rid of unless you put a ls1 in it.....lol

Stoppy don't have amnesia. He can recite my mods at any given moment.

like you're any different. you think all mach 1's are 13.0 cars stock and all ls1 cars run 13.7.

fact of the matter is that mach1's just cant quite keep up to an ls1 fbody. never could. they try hard though.

He know's.....he likes to play he don't. Why do you think he yaks about his 60' so much? That's the strongest point of his car...the 8.8 rear. Put a slick on and and pack some 4.56's in it so it can 1/8 decently. He has basically made it go from 0-80 or 90 mph quickly because it's not gonna run very good from 80mph + evidence of his trap speed.

Going to the pick and pull today to get the non power seat out of a V6 Mustang then going to put my factory drivers seat on it. Since no one can ride behind me cause im so tall, i took the seat belt out of the drivers side rear seat. Spare tire and jack are out, fuse box covers are out, sun visers are out, gas door is off, front license plate and screws are out, coil covers are off and a few other things. I'm wondering if there's a way to make my power mirrors manual like the old fox bodies? Also, has anyone ever cross drilled their own rotors?

I'm still curious what kind of power stock Mach 1's make to the wheels. A couple of people have asked. Assuming the X from the original post was a 9 (279 hp), that would mean that a stock Mach 1 only put down 13 less hp than you did with an intake and exhaust. Sounds believable to me.
