I'm no cam tech, still reading a lot and trying to fully understand it all, but from I understand, lobe separation angle is where valve clearance becomes in issue on milled heads. I could easily be off on that, but either way its my tuner that eventually suggested this grind for my car. I think he knows why it a good cam for my set-up, but doesn't always feel like spelling it out to people like me, lol. I told him I wanted less valvetrain noise and more power without restalling, changing my springs again, etc. This is the one he suggested.

Do you work near Raleigh? Might be able to catch up with you when I get off work. After 5pm..
Ohhh, I was thinking you had 28" tires. You're right, the 26s are right where you need to be. Too bad you can't slip the clutch versus dumping and bogging. Only other thing you could do is drive straight thru the water box and do a very light burn out, without using the brake type of burnout so the tires don't dead hook. Not really sure if that would help or not, but it might.

You'll get it figured out. Every car is different, so all if us sitting here telling you to do this and it should run that is kind of silly considering none of us have so much as sat in your car. Just keep practicing and you'll pull some 11s out of it.
I back and forth on it. Realistically looking at 2 tenths and 2 mph. Not sure if its worth the money to do it. Talking $400 for the cam, and several hundred for labor and retune on the dyno. Would be a nice gain and also nice to get rid of the sewing machine under my hood.

I would love to run at a track that is actually at sea level, but the closest ones are like 12 hours away. Vegas is only 7 hours away so that's what I'm shooting for.

To be fair it wasn't a 300rwhp+ car, but I ran a record/near record time (depending on where you look) in the 1/4 in my '94 Integra when I was 17.

I took a ride to the track last night and caught one of your runs. I saw the same thing last night that I saw at Feyetteville on Sunday. One tire spinning the other does nothing. Should have videoed the launch with focus on the rear. Maybe you could see what is going on.
When I built my rear I not only put in Moser 31 Spline axles but I also changed out the posi unit to a Ford Racing one. Just tried to eliminate any weak points. Did not want to take any chances after seeing the results of a broken axle off a light at the track. Car turned sideways and hit the wall.
