Nope. Your fairly knew here and it shows. Cars got some weight reduction here and there. But still full interior, a/c p/s etc... its his daily.

I can show you a vid of a full weight minus jack and spare LS1 with headers and a tune going 12.1 at 115. Its very common for these cars to go 115+ With the right mods.

I have another vid of a full weight minus jack and spare going 113 on stock tune and bolt ons.

 

LS1s make more rwhp. No surprise there.

 

Bone stock 02 SS with NOTHING but a set of tires- 12.6... I wouldn't talk about how the 1/8 couldn't be matched.

 

That's what I have a hard time understanding I guess... using the online calculators, you would have to have more than 37x at 3500lbs for 120mph... Maybe I am just sleepy as hell.. I need to hit the bed.. I'll rack my braing more tomorrow when I get some rest. Later all....

Was using online calculators... take a certain amount of horsepower to get a certain amount of weight to accelerate to a certain mph in a certain distance(1320ft). I'll check in more tomorrow

 

It is a tuning tool and nothing more.. Especially with an auto.

The calculators have ALWAYS told me I would have to be making WAY more power, and I have ran people making more power.

 

 

Dude those calculators aren't set in stone. Just like all those calculate your compression calculators and ****. They vary and don't take account into real life variables.
