Damn this section has went to ****! Comments like "my stock z28 Ls1 was faster than every ls2 vette i ever raced" and "I've never seen a fast LS2" just further proves that.

[QUOTE=callmedoc;17380636]Every time I come back to this forum, there seems to be some more ridiculous comments....
The base convertibles don't weigh much more, if any, than a base coupe. Do your research. The C6 was designed as a Vert' before it was a coupe (just like the C5), hence there is no need for the extra heavy bracing/supports/ect. Lack of the rear window of the coupe negates much of the weight difference.
And how the hell is a "stock" LS1 f-body beating an LS2 C6?? This is ridiculous and negates any of your credibility, "just saying."
QUOTE]
My car stock ran hign 12's at 108, most c6 i have seen, (mostly auto barely ran 110) same hig 12's ???? Your Point?
Again my runs as your were all on the street. At the track (which i worked at for 9 years) ls2 cars ran 9's in the 1/8 all day long i ran 8.5's all day long.

As far as bonehead statements? How about some dude in a mild bolt on ls2 thinking he's a bike killer? I'd walk that vette silly and I still dont go hunting crotchrockets.

I said i've never PERSONALLY seen a fast LS2 vette. Most of the vettes around here that bother to run are FI LS1/6 or LS3's. I didnt say they dont exist, ive just never seen one in the flesh. Dont shove your head up your *** and try to make a quote into something it's not.

Agreed,
BTW, To clear it up for you guys, I was talking about my stock car vs a stock ls2 car. Again I worked at the track for 9 years.

Says nothing about his car, if anything it says you know that unless you're doing some dumb *** 100mph roll then that evo will be the one dusting your ***, oh wait I forgot the ls2 is almighty and unbeatable,
all I can say is next time you decide to run a bike, have your camera handy.

So youre going to be in central Texas at some point sporting that blower? Im down. Lets line up your blown 6.0L v8 against my measely 4 cylinder 4 door. It's my daily driver, hell I'll even drive it down to Texas for you. No drag radials, no weight reduction. Straight run what you brung. We're not doing your gay *** wannabe supra 100 roll though. Dig or 60 roll take your pick.

Your stock LS1 went 12.8@108? Nice, you're probably the fourth or fifth person ever to do that, on record at least. Fwiw, the stock LS2 C6 record is 12.21@115.4 by member 'LS1LT1' here. Back in '06 I drove a buddy's rare DSOM 6M coupe to 12.41@114.1. The average LS2 out this way is a mid 12 sec @ 112-114. Only thing I can think of is you worked at a sucky track with a bunch of newbie drivers.
